JUNK…YUCK!

Standard

I am so tired…in the meantime I am still packing it up and sifting through all the JUNK!  At least I have it all boxed up neatly now..Barely room in the attic to walk in there, but it is stacked up and when the time is right, ready to move out!  WHEW!! Are you having fun watching me pack? NO.. but I am taking a break sitting here, resting my poor back.

I am using the white duct tape on everything. Labeling the boxes so that when I do need to use them again I just tear off the tape and start over. I used to write witha sharpie on the boxes. What a mess that turned out to be!

Yeow. I sure am running into a lot of JUNK!! I mean who in their right mind would save stuff from 1989 but me!!!  I also cannot stand the thought of throwing stuff away..but it has to be done. Remember those neat cardboard boxes that you have to put togetherthat are so colorful that you used for storage. We all thought.. wow they are so nice and useful.  WRONG!!  They have deteriorated and collapsed and are just totally useless now. The lids won’t fit they have completely gotten out of proportion to the box itself.

Today I picked one up and the whole bottom fell out. There was styrofoam filling in there, YUCK..now I have it all over my attic floor.  I have concluded that the plastic clear tubs that we have nowdays are far superior!!  You can stack them fulland they will just stay put! My kind of bliss!

I found the newspapers I collected in 1989 when the quake hit San Francisco. What the heck ever possessed me to think they would not get brittle and waste away? I was not in SFO,.I was in the valley.. I sure felt it though. Scary for sure!

I remember I was shopping in a store and the ceiling lights began to rock back and forth and people were running and stuff was shaken off the shelves. No matter how fast you moved the floorunder you was moving too. Such a crazy feeling. I do know the minute I got outside I closed my eyes. I was so dizzy and sick feeling I had todash to my car to sit down or fall down.I had vertigo even way back then.  It was so interesting to read the papers at the time. They covered so much more than TV did.I sure am no archivist though.. the papers are really in bad shape now…… well enough for today..break time is over…..

Hope you all enjoy your day!!
