MAN FLIES WITH TB !!

 

GOOD LORD! If they tell you NOT TO FLY..then

why do you do it?? OH boy this is a sore subject.. I mean the

guy knew he shouldn’t fly and then purposely avoided american

carriers because he was on the NO FLY list. Now 80 people

are at risk to this sort of disease that is so resistant to any

kind of antibiotic. WHAT THE HECK was he thinking????

 

I am thinking that this is so scary and this guy showed

all the people who are against the USA exactly how to infect

many people at once. You can sure get sick on the air that is

recycled through the system there on planes. I got sick out of the

blue once coming back to Mi from Ca. I was just fine when I left.

It is a possibility these days. I am sure homeland security has thought

of this whole thing though. That is why they put him on the NO FLY

list!! The man is in quarantine now and pretty sick I guess. He is 31 and a

Lawyer from Atlanta.. now you KNOW he knew better to NOT fly!!!

TO TAN OR NOT TO TAN???

 

Should you spray tan yourself or something before you wear the white

wedding gown???? OH .. I am dying to know what you all think about this one!

My niece is pretty fair and so pale.. she will just wash out so bad wearing that

fancy wedding gown.. The bridesmaids are all buzzing about the tanner and how they

are going to look so nice. Well won’t that make the bride even look more pale???

YES!  There is the issue of makeup and how she doesn’t so much as wear lipgloss

regularly so if she wears a lot of makeup she will NOT look natural.

It is a quandry for sure. Glad she has about 4 months to think about it..

Taking all suggestions on this one for sure..

30 INCH SCREEN COMPUTER.. I kid you not…

 

Something new called a SURFACE computer from Microsoft..

that is so large and so neat looking it is really scary. Remember

how we all thought the idea of having a computer at home was

outrageous?? I do! Well this thing gets rid of the mouse and the

KEYBOARD!! It is a tabletop model that weighs about 150 lbs!

Yeah you heard that right.. it costs a whole heck of a

lot right now..$5,000 at least..but the prices are set to come down in the

next five years and the size will too probably. I saw this thing on the

news and touching the screen is like moving things through water. Really

wierd! This is the future??? OH BOY.. we are moving to STAR TREK

land now.. scaryyyyyy!

WHAT’S GOING ON???

Ever click on the add button and have no idea what you are

going to write about..but you start anyway?…. It’s one of those

days.. lack of sleep or whatever.. I still felt like making an

effort.

Word on the street grapevine is the people in that house..

(it has three apts.) may be getting an annonymous letter

adressed to the OCCUPANTS..that further loud music

late at night will always be reported to the police and to

the land lord, no EXCEPTIONS.. I mean whew.. I didnt

think of this ..but I am hoping it works. If they know that

we will call the cops EVERY SINGLE time.. maybe they will

cut it out late at night. There is absolutely no reason for it

at all at 2 and 3 A.M. We have called and called the police

many many times and sometimes they come and sometimes 

they don’t show up. The druggies know when they are coming

for some reason and will turn off the lights and .WHAT

officer. we aren’t doing anything?!! Grrrr..I have to use

a cell phone to call because …EVEN THOUGH YOU ASK

the cops NOT to CONTACT you they will..no matter 

what time it is. I HATE THAT TOO! 

Keeping the good vibes going on this one.

 

Getting things together for the curbside clean up is going well.

I don’t nearly have as much as I thought I would. I have been

really making use of the garbage pickup each week with a little

of this and that so that I wont have so much to haul this year.

I feel like baking again today..I know it is hot out ..why oh why

do I do that to myself? Maybe I will make a cool dessert something

light and refreshing…

Ever hear of  a frozen salad??

My girlfriends mom made it and I loved it..

 

Frozen Fruit Salad

1 lg can fruit cocktail

1 lg. can crushed pineapple

1 jar maraschino cherries

1 lg. package of cream cheese

1 cup miracle whip

1 small package of min. marshmallows

1 small container cool whip

 

Drain the cocktail and the pineapple and cherries good. Cream the cheese and

miracle whip together and add the cool whip then add the fruit and

cherries and marshmallows last. Place in 13 X 9 pan and cover with saran wrap and

freeze until set. Cut into squares and serve. Makes about 15 squares.

This used to be made with real whipping cream but I use cool whip.

I imagine you could maybe skip the cream cheese too.. but I have never

tried that as I think the cream cheese gives it the salad kind of taste.

Some people add chopped nuts too. I don’t like the taste of them in this

recipe.

The Adventure continues….

When last we saw Bob he was still on the road to his YUKON adventure. He decided to rest in a park outside Ft Nelson on the Alaskan Highway. He found some really wonderful people at the WOODLANDS INN off the highway that gave him access to their WI-FI and he was set to let us know how things were coming. So..he parked his RV in the lot back behind the hotel and used their connection to send some great photos and all the details of his adventure so far.

Some young rascals trying to steal his bike off the back of the “Bear” …. His job offers..his meetings with some of his old buddies that he hauled with back in the day…and the beautful scenery along the highways of Canada and the trip as it goes to the YUKON.  Great Adventures for sure.. check him out here…  http://inthedriverseat.blogspot.com I am sure you will enjoy his trip as much as I am. 

WEEKEND WRAP UP…

WELL the holiday is over. gas actually went down here to 3.51.. that was a real shock…maybe when it gets lower I will fill up the tank. I think the price might drop some more later this week, I can always hope so anyway. I stayed home, but wish I was somewhere else..

Those lousy neighbors “from hell” are now playing rap music etc.very very loud all day and all hours of the night. I am very tired of them and wish we could do something . We have tried everything.  EARPLUGS have been a Godsend.. So the weekend was pretty noisy here. How those children who are all pretty small can sleep with it going at 1 and 2 AM is beyond me. It will be hot here the next few days so the sound of the A/C will drown them out, I am now grateful for the heat..not making any complaints at all!!

BY NOW you have heard that ROSIE left THE VIEW WHO did NOT see that coming???? I bet they will have a hard time getting a replacement for her now that Elisabeth has proven that she is a force to be reckoned with. When ASKED… WHOOPIE, who was  the front runner, bowed out..so they are back to making a list again. She was on the show with Barbra yesterday but nothing was said about her taking over again for Rosie…IF they just would not talk so much WAR and POLITICS on there I guess they would not have so many troubles. I wont be watching it I hate people fighting all the time!

WATCHED the INDY 500 What a rainy day they had and boy what a finish to the race…coming across the finish line in the rain going oh so slow as to not spin out..DARIO FRANCHITTI won. HE is Scottish…I had no idea… I thought he was ITALIAN! HAH!

DUDE GET A DELL AT WALMART!!!

It was announced that some models of DELL Computers will go on sale at all the WALMART Stores and they are considering selling them elsewhere too. Well… what took them so long? I mean their sales must have dipped pretty low or something to make this decision. I guess they found out that people do like to go to a store and purchase one and take it home right then. NO DELAY.. I have heard some horrible stories about computers being left on the doorstep by the delivery guys. Right out in the open. I have heard stories of  DELL computers bought over the phone and when recieved they found them to be PRE OWNED by someone else and re-conditioned to re-sell them. OH YES.. and it was a big LEMON too!! Many many things wrongwith it. I want to purchase an item like that in person .. no ordering for me!!

I know, I know it is PINK in here…well I love Peonies! The bushes

we had took a real beating in the ice and cold and are mostly gone.

We had about three blooms last year.. maybe get that again this year

too. I like them because they don’t have a strong smell and I can be

around them with all my allergies. Tulips are the same way and so

are pansies. . Anyway…I thought I could

at least look at one if I don’t get many in the yard this year.
