Mom had a great birthday dinner and the cake was provided
by her granddaughter who is getting married in OCT.Thanks
for the wonderful comments to her. I have passed them along
to her.. You DO know we talked about the wedding plans etc.
over dinner..so much still to decide. Mom helped raise her,
so she was thrilled to just see her stop by…a little nostalgic
too as she figures that will be the
last birthday she shares with her as a single young lady.
The weather was HOT.. 83 here yesterday. It was
like JULY!! The leaves literally POPPED into full
display on the trees, and the bugs were out like they had
never been before. I have been over-run with Boxelder bugs.
They seem to have come from nowhere. I have been spraying
like crazy to kill them. Weird.. hopefully they won’t last too
long.

Yes, there really is one this week! It has taken me twice as long

Governor of Ca. Swarzenegger is considering a pardon on the
sentence of PARIS HILTON for drunk driving. Did I hear
that right?? OH BOY.. he better not!! What a fire storm that brings
up. Why bring politics into it? If you are dumb enough to sign things
that are important documents and not pay attention to them.. YOU
DESERVE what you get for what you did. Do not try to weasel out of
it! She claims she is not being treated fairly. I agree with most of
you who commented. .YOU do the crime.. YOU do the TIME!!

AMERICAN IDOL
They are down to the final four and the one who leaves, it will be sad to
see them go. They all will have decent futures because they all can
sing very well. I stick with my favorite despite the judges views..
the best singer is Melinda and her runner up is 17 year old Jordin
who was brilliant last night with the performance she turned in.

KANSAS TRAGEDY
I just cannot fathom a whole town gone in a matter of a few minutes.
Lives as well as buildings and livelihoods turned upside down and
changed forever. The mayor walked through the demolished neighborhoods
and commented that they can do whatever they want now to rebuild the
whole town..better to what it was before. Will be nice.. but oh it will take
a long time. New Orleans is still a disaster after two whole years…building
the small town back will be a monumental task. I send my thoughts and
prayers to them all.
