Ok it looks kinda like green and red but it is really blue.
I used too big a spoon handle and made some pretty large
holes in the cake. The jello ran a lot in the red one and
did not in the blue one.. go figure.. anyway.. the cake is
good and the cool whip.. welll yes I have made this before
and it doesn’t keep a long time in the fridge.This cake is
better for a crowd where they will eat most of it up at one sitting.
I used a large cool whip container even larger than the
recipe calls for and did not bother to decorate it on top
with anything as we DO NOT have company now. I have used the
spray cans of whipped topping on each serving of cake and
decorated it with sliced strawberry and blueberry or a little
flag in the past. I think this version is better than the red and
green one at Christmastime.
I was asked today if I ever did one in lemon and orange or
pineapple and apricot. OH brother.. that gets me curious now..
Well I do have the
rest of the summer to go.. DID someone say WATERMELON
flavor jello?? I have seen it in the stores.. MY. my..what things
you can do with JELLO!!
All I know is it is a tasty cool dessert for a hot 4th of
