DAILY THOUGHTS….

Daily things keep cluttering up my mind these days. This whole

wedding thing is over-whelming and I am NOT the mother of

the bride! I go to bed thinking about it and wake up thinking

about it. The lists of “TO DO” are long and involved and

complicated. Lack of communication is a key thing too. One

person or should I say several people not telling others

what they are doing is only making more for others to

change or take care of. Isn’t that the way it goes though??

I mean..nothing EVER runs really smoothly without a

wedding planner or co-ordinator. You sure don’t want to

pay what they want for running the show either. WOW

they make big bucks!! Make the list and keep checking it

off I say.

Going into a shop and dealing with two people who work

there and each one telling you something different….

and one is the owner and one his wife?? UH OH… They

need some real communication. We ran upon a sale where

everything wedding in the entire store was 50% off.. you think

we didn’t jump for joy..  It was pure luck that we stopped

there.. or was it???? Everything happens for a reason I have always said!

I am still preparing for Sue’s visit..praying everyday that nothing

hampers her trip. I asked her to be very cautious for the next

16 days…and her son too. He is coming with her, the last time I saw him

he was 5 years old!! He is 12 now and taller than she is…what a shock

I am going to get!! How to ask a 12 year old to be careful so his MOM

can make this trip? Hmmmm I will have to think on that one. I swear if

he or she gets sick or whatever… I am going to have a conniption fit!! Ever see

one of those? WELL it AINT PRETTY!! It’s kind of a hissie fit only

worse. My momma and daddy were from the south and so many of the

sayings we have here come out every once in a while. Conniption is from

down there.

Here is one I heard a few days ago..

“She’s fixin’ to git purty nie on nasty here directly”….meaning..

It’s gonna rain here pretty soon. The way she said it takes

so much longer than normal..but it is

colorful. It makes me chuckle when I hear it spoken that way,

especially since she has been away from down there for

over 65 years!!! She says the older you are the more you remember the

days of your youth. Her memory is getting clearer every day.

HARRY POTTER FANS UNITE

DID YOU NOTICE THE QUIET TODAY???

That was the sound of people reading all over the

world all at once. I never thought I would live

to see anything like it.

 

Harry Potter fans have united here ,in my small

town, trying to gather signatures to help J.K.

along with a decision to continue writing more of

her great stories which involve Harry or the other

characters in the book. I know it is so very hard

to say goodbye to a book that has excited you and made

you want to read a book with 700 or 800 pages. To drop

the computer and everything else and just focus on you and

your mind and the words on the written page. How wonderful that

must feel to her. I wonder just how she is feeling about the whole thing?

To write the words for them and then set them to an end after

all these years.. it has to be hard. I wish them good luck with

their petition. as for J.K. I hope she is at peace also.

TAMMY FAYE MESSNER

 

Finally went to be with her LORD Friday with her family by her

side. She was quite the character and years ago I used to see

her on TV crying and wearing wild makeup and jewelry, and

think WOW she really is something! I know she was mocked

and made fun of but one thing for sure…. she had GREAT FAITH

and I believed her when she spoke. I said a prayer for her

children and her family, and know that SHE is just fine and

very happy now where she is.
