CYBER BLACK MONDAY

I have heard that is what this monday is called. The
monday that they expect the internet shopping day to
be really swamped. I am wondering if it really happens
or not? So… DO PEOPLE REALLY CHOOSE A DAY
to buy things on line?? Do they wait and choose that
day above all others? I would think it would make
it very hard to get where you are going or do business
if everyone is shopping at once. Whose idea was this anyway?
Leave it to me to ask all the stupid questions…YES I
tried googling it. The term is only two years old now.
People were said to come back to work and use computers
at work to order things on line for the Christmas holidays.
Retailers showed a  77% increase in on line sales on the monday
after thanksgiving back in 2004 so in 2005 they began to
really push the idea.
ME NO WAY.. I don’t order anything on line.. I just
don’t want to get all caught up in it. I would rather see and
feel and smell and try on things “in person”. I used to
be a “personal shopper” for many people though. People who
hated to even do grocery shopping. They would give detailed
lists in many stores, checks written out to the stores and I would purchase
whatever it was they needed. I had a blast doing it. Ask me where to
find things and I would tell you where it was. It was FUN spending
SOMEONE ELSE’S money and seeing the looks on their faces
when all those packages would come in their home.
It was a very “California” thing to do. Well, maybe just a
big city thing to do. People around where I live now..well
that is just something they would never dream of doing.
It was one of the better “fun jobs” I have had in my life.
Very satisfying too.  Well if you are shopping on line
today I sure hope you find what you want and may it be
ON SALE and ARRIVE ON TIME too!!
HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT DAY !!
PS. I am calling mom’s doctor today (monday)
to see what is up with the blood tests and
to talk about her medications. Prayers are
really helping.. her BP numbers are still
high but NOT severe. THANKS SO MUCH
FOR YOUR KIND WORDS AND THOUGHTS
