WINTER’S FURY!!

Standard
wind
WINDY…and with it came the rain and the sleet and the
snow.Trash everywhere. cans rolling down the street.
It was so noisy I had trouble sleeping through
it all. Freezing rain closed most all the schools and
colleges for the day. One good thing ..the wind
blew the snow away and so we got very little
in our area. NO SHOVELING Smile
We will not be skipped though,
they already have us preparing for 4-8 inches
by Friday night. We will see..

Mom was saddened to hear that Edwards (herfavorite)
pulled out of the presidential race. She looked at
me and said "NOW WHAT?" I answered….
"I have no idea." She said she liked his
style and his voice.
Made me think about who will
be the running mates for the candidates.
 It is important who
we elect, but also who the person they pick
to run with them as the vice president.
Would that person
make me want to vote for them or against them?
SO many decisions left to be made yet. I am
sure it will be pretty interesting as time goes on.
I think now the commentators on tv may be right
there are only four left that are really running.
Good thing we still have months ahead to decide.

RED WHITE AND BLUE SUPERBOWL
SUNDAY is the night!!
This year it will be a red, white and blue bowl.
Both teams will be wearing the same type colors.
I find this confusing somewhat. I mean I watch
games but with both wearing similar colors it
will be even harder for us amateurs to keep
track. Odds are on the Patriots because they
have not lost one game this year. I watched
the last game they had. It went back and forth and
they could have just as well lost it. The
Giants are doing well too.. their quarterback was
really pretty good. SO.. who do you pick..
I think I have to go with the odds on this one.
I will go with Tom Brady and the Patriots and
if he gets injured.. well all bets are off. Confused
I will be watching the ads for sure.. each one
during the game costs $2.7 million per 30 seconds.
Wow wonder if we will get just one that sticks
out as really good? I will go to the store today
to get my usual supplies for the game before the
snow gets too bad on the weekend. I will use
more fruit and vegetables this year due to
Mom’s strict diet. The chili will be made with
ground turkey and the chips will be eliminated and
we will have a sugarfree dessert. I haven’t decided
what just yet. Maybe red white and blue jello! LoLOpen-mouthed

CHOCOLATE PRICE IS RISING!!

Standard

CHOCOLATE COST RISING!!

Chocolate
OH NO!!! Hershey’s is raising it’s prices! If they do
that so will other companies and many of us who love the
taste of a good chocolate will be the ones to pay
for it..literally!! Mom loves anything chocolate and
making something for her to eat has been a challenge
for sure. I have used the cocoa powder more than
ever since her diet change. I was sad to see the report
that they are raising the prices. Valentine’s day coming
up and you know you always like to seek out your
favorite treat. I go for the smooth chocolate..
the really milky kind ( I know it is bad for you) but
I still like my peanut butter cup once in a while.
I do like the new idea of a 100 calorie bar although
I have no idea what it tastes like. Whoppers and
Pieces in my younger days really were a favorite.
AHHHH the price we will have to pay for
indulging our cravings… IT JUST WENT UP..Sad
farfel
If you remember Bosco syrup and a dog puppet Farfel
singing a tune called N- E- S- T- L- E- sssssss…then you
are of the age of candy bar that everyone could
afford. Back then a candy bar, and a large
one at that, used to be 5 CENTSSurprised You just
cringe now when you have to pay 1.00 for one!
Milk prices being what they are and cocoa beans
costing more to ship and grow well it was bound
to happen I guess. My favorites have changed
over the years.. but it all goes back to
“SOMETIMES YOU FEEL LIKE A NUT…
SOMETIMES YOU DON’T——
GUESS WHICH ONE I AM??? lolOpen-mouthed
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE???

A BLIZZARD???????

Standard
Well the wind is howling and the snow
is really coming down.. We might get at
least 4 or 5 inches overnight
.. We will see…The house is
rocking from the 50mph wind gusts.. I cringe
when I hear noises, wondering what big tree
limb will be next. I heard a loud noise
coming from the back of the house.
A large limb fell in the neighbors yard.
The storm just starting…. that is not a good
sign.
Hopefully we will keep the power on
to keep us warm.. -10 wind chills in the
morning will be no fun if the power is
off.

Here is a picture I took yesterday. Green
grass…no snow.. I am sure later today it
will be different. The other picture I took
a few days before ……snow.. go figure!! Confused
