WHICH DO YOU REMEMBER MORE

 

OR your FIRST CAR ??

Chances are your first kiss

occurred when you were young..maybe even too young

to realize how special it was.

Now how can that compare to being older and getting

to drive and getting to own a car?? Do women

remember things like kisses and men cars?  YES

they do!! You get a certain age and the only thing

on your mind is driving and getting your license and

your first set of wheels!  The two could be connected

as in first car and first kiss.... That is a long shot

though.. most kids play games at a young age and even

at 5,6,7,8, are already way past that first real kiss

stage. When you are older you really appreciate your

first set of wheels though and maybe you forget

just who and where it was that that first smack

took place. It is only a vague memory.

                            

Well my first car, I have mentioned before

was a’73 yellow 2 door hardtop Chevelle Malibu coupe!

I had that car way past 100,00 miles and it

would no longer run.I drove it across

the USA and all over the west coast.

 I cried the day they

towed it away. Blown engine.

Now THAT is memorable! If I had it

today with a new engine.. well lets say

it would probably be worth a tidy sum

of dollars for sure., as a real antique.

                 

Now the first kiss is still a slight memory

to me a kid named NEIL who chose to

go into the closet with me during a

spin the bottle game at a girl’s birthday

party. I remember it because the boy

had salty lips. He had been eating chips,

I was about 8 years old.

OPEN …SAYS ME!!

 

Well the friendly A&E repair guy came and looked

at my garage door opener and could not believe that someone

had installed it the way they did. Hmmmm He asked me

who the heck did it and I told him a guy from out of

town from a garage door company. He laughed out

loud right to my face! He said" Well he did a half-ass

job of it and now your electric eye doesn’t sinc up

with it’s partner over there. Once that takes place you

are gonna have lots of trouble." I asked him if he could

just take the electric eye thing off there. NOPE not

possible. It works with it installed.  The whole thing

came off the rail it was stuck onto, and fell into

his hand. It had come dislodged when I took the snowblower

out of the garage. I touched it or something and it got

knocked out of place. HE said"It should have been mounted down

here on a block of wood away from the rail. I asked if he could

do it and he said.. all the electric wires had been measured and cut

and it would require him getting new parts and re-wiring the whole

thing. I said >>DO IT! Well that is not

covered by the maintenance agreement.  WHY NOT?? It was HIS

MISTAKE..We went round and round.. it would cost more to replace

the electric stuff than it was worth, and I would have to pay..

I was shocked!!

SOOO he did his best to fix it and it works but GOD HELP

US if it gets knocked off again. I think I am going to use some good

old fashioned D U C T tape and make sure it stays there, when the

weather warms up. The story goes the rails are old, the door

is probably 40 years old and it needs replacing. NOT in our

lifetimes it won’t! It might get new paint this summer, but I am not

going to replace it. HE showed me how to program the opener

buttons on the outside of the door so that if it was closed I

could enter the code and access it or close it. AT the very

least we can use the door no matter what. UGHH.. It is clear to

me that some people are being hired to do jobs they just don’t

know anything about or are just barely getting by doing them.

The people at S***RS will be hearing from me!!

It won’t be pretty!!

On the mouse hunt.. the count now is 11 over there and I am

hunting on my own here and have not seen any yet. Put out plenty of

D CON today and am watching this place like crazy. I am

not afraid so much as startled by them and if one gets in

my way.. well    little fella!! We have never

had that problem before and hope to never have it! I still

can’t see why with so many cats over there..they have 6 indoor

cats.. they have any problems at all. I guess a cat has to

be hungry to catch a mouse and be a real killer. Those

cats are well fed and happy, so good luck.. all they want

to do is play with them and wear them out enough to

make them unconscious. The thought of that is too

sickening to me. I want them no where near my place

and dead in hurry if they get here. My gramma told

me quickest way to get rid of them is lots of traps

and lots of peanut butter and I have both!!  Enough said!

NEIGHBORHOOD NUISANCE..

The house from HELL has struck again! I

can’t believe it. Neighbors around here

are reporting that even though the house

is empty they left us a gift..

HOW NOT NICE OF THEM!!

This means war! The neighbor has many cats in

her house but me. NOPE! I am allergic,  so off

I go to hunt them down. She says so far they

have had 7 (SEVEN) in their house and the cats

are having a ball catching them!!.Ackkkk as you

can imagine my poor mother is not a happy camper

these days. Yesterday I spent time in the basement

putting out DE-CON! This is one thing we must take

care of fast before they multiply. I think the one

apt. flooding out didn’t help any, and by the way the

landlord was never contacted and never came by, so

the city turned off the water and it sits empty..

MINUS the MICE that is. What a mess..I am

so disgusted. Today I am sore from snowblowing

about 5 inches of the very heavy snow. I quit

after an hour..went to go back in the house and

THE NEW GARAGE OPENER IS NOT WORKING

NOW!!!!!  They are coming right away to check it

out today  AS Gilda Radner said.. “It is always something!”
