INTERNET IN YOUR CAR!!!?

               

 

This was the first time I had heard the announcement that one of the

major car manufacturers was going to release a model in 2009

that would make it possible to use your laptop, blackberry etc..

INSIDE your car. AN internet   WIFI connection INSIDE? How in the world?

WHERE HAVE I BEEN?? I must have missed this some how. My head

must have been buried in the sand someplace…..

 

This is not new.. I just had not heard of it before..

Of course there are GPS devices available now and so many

cars have those DVD players inside.. it is only natural that they

now will have WI FI available to them too.

 

It was introduced, according to the above article, in 2007

in rental cars for a fee for so much a day’s service.

It’s not for use by the driver while the car is in motion..

okayyyyy.. let’s see how many of us can steer with one hand and

eat, drink, etc while driving. Yes we can!!   It is provided so that others in the

vehicle can use it while being driven or use it when stuck in traffic

etc. I sure hope that is right.. but who knows.. cell phones cause car

accidents every single day, I imagine this will probably cause some

problems too. I guess not many people will be able to afford this service

in their cars so we don’t have to worry about it now.. Look how far we

have come.. cell phones, laptops and I pods are just the beginning, move over

the internet cannot be far behind for all of us.

We got several storms yesterday. Our power went off and then came back, but

major parts of our downtown lost power for some time. WE WERE SO LUCKY!

The temps went back up to the 80’s with high humidity and boy talk about

miserable!!  We are expecting more of that late in the day today.  Looks like our weeknd

will be a  wet one.  Hope you are all well wherever you are..
