Took some pictures today that totally shocked me when
I looked at them on the monitor here. How in the world did
things get so parched?? How about NO rain in almost a month!

breezy day in April.. Look at this spot now..
area is parched.. walking on the ground actually
crunches beneath your feet.
How the bushes and trees are standing and living is a mystery to me.
I water the morning glories and the tomatoes that is all. NO ONE
is watering as the water rate has been raised here recently. You never
hear a lawn mower any more. Odd for summertime.
The birds are loving the bird bath that is for sure. It hit 87 here on Thursday.
They patiently wait their turn too. I have seen as high as 8 to 10 in there
at a time. (Click to enlarge )
Summer is waning and I sure hope fall is a tiny bit more moist!
I am still using Mozilla and then switching to IE to post any pictures. I sure hate
how Mozilla seems to post them wierd. Makes putting up an entry difficult to say the
least.
Thoughts and Prayers go out to those in FLORIDA who are getting pounded by
the floods from FAY. I lost power here for only 24 hours and I cannot even think about
how bad it is to be without it for DAYS and losing belongings to water damage.
