ONE THING AFTER ANOTHER….

Looks like March here will be going out like a lamb.. as tomorrow

it will be near 60.  NO trace of that icky white stuff

anywhere around here.   Boy are we happy about that!

Monday was a get things done day again. I found my

water softener in the basement nearly out of salt.

NEVER in over 10 years has it done that. We had it

repaired but obviously he must have reset it for

much more often than what we need.  That will be fixed this

week for sure. We sure don’t need THAT much soft water!!

The garage light came on and the door stayed down.

I reset it and darned if it did it again. Someone around here

has something mechanical that’s messing with our door opener.

I can’t stand the thought of it open all night long..light on for

someone or THING to get in there. I sure won’t be sleeping well

tonight thanks to some wise guy with a urge to make life miserable

for others.

I cut my pointer finger open on a serrated bread knife.  Owwwwwwww!

Sure is hard to keep it clean and

dry. Had to wear rubber gloves almost all day long. But I think to

myself..it is nothing compared to others troubles and I am

grateful for that tiny reminder.  It will heal, others are sometimes

not that fortunate.   The news stated tonight that one family in

4 here in Michigan has a person or persons out of a job. NOW THAT

is scary.. They are talking we will be seeing those tent cities here

this summer. Can’t be helped as so many are out of work here

in this state. So much here depends on the auto industry and we all

know that is in BIG TROUBLE..

ON THE WHACKY  SIDE…

TODAY I saw a woman on a show selling a woman’s shaver. Now that

alone wasn’t that earth shattering, but before I changed the channel

SHE SHAVED HER WHOLE FACE with it. This was a nice looking woman.

I could not believe what I was watching. WHY would a woman shave

her whole face–forehead and all ??  Shocking to me that is for sure.

Guess we will never know why some people do things. It just seemed

a little weird to me!

COMPUTER SURROUNDINGS WEEK

This is where I do all my blogging. My little corner of the world. It is a room

upstairs in my house. It is the smallest room in my house with exception of the

bathroom. I share the room with an extra guest bed. The table is pretty

bare just now as I have not begun to move things around lately. I have been

too busy with other projects to give it much time. MIRACLE’S monitor sits

on a board, but not just any board. This board was shipped all the way from

Ca. when I moved. It was a bread board my grandmother used to make

biscuits and such. I used to use it for that too, but I needed something to stablize

the monitor and it fit the bill. The train that runs nearby shakes the table so

that I have to have a strong base to withstand all that. Miracle’s new printer sits

below the table on a stool and is pushed back out of the way when I am not

using it. The tables were bought at Sam’s Club and are adjustable to anyone’s

comfort zone. The smaller table can be pushed out of the way when it is not in

use. The whole thing is totally portable and can be moved very easily.  I have

spent many hours in this corner.. surfing the net, talking on the messenger,and

space-walking in the past 4 years. I have enjoyed every minute of it!!   This is a

close up of my desktop background…

We had rain, sleet, snow, wind and sun over the weekend. I am grateful none

of it was severe. I keep those who are out of their homes in my thoughts and

prayers. Seems mother nature is very busy this spring and can’t make up

her mind. March has been a very eventful month in more ways than one.

Mom seems to be on the mend, and we are very relieved about that.

I slept nearly 10 hours Saturday night, and feel like a new person.

Catching up is a good thing.  Hope to be catching up with a lot of you

really soon.

RELAX… IT’S THE WEEEKEND

The weekend schedule is always different around here. Some we are really

busy and some we are bored to pieces. Some are completely a working

weekend and others are just for fun.  Some I get to watch a Nascar race

and some I don’t. Some I get to sleep in on those days and others NOT.

Mom being sick has changed the whole feeling of the weekend now.

We have a whole new "routine" to get used to. It sure is hard changing.

I got to thinking that even if the routine changes you can still MAKE

time to RELAX somehow. A simple thing like taking a walk or

reading a book could be a new change. I am going to try it and see

how it goes.  I hope I find something that works.  Hope yours is

relaxing also.

The Dr. Office called today and told us they scheduled an appointment for Mom

with a Cardiologist in another town. PROBLEM IS.. the Dr. didn’t inform us

they were going to do that. They wanted an 82 year old sick person to be in

the office at 8:10 in the morning, that’s after driving at least 30 minutes to get

there. I was shocked. I informed them that HAD WE KNOWN  we could have told

them that she doesn’t even GET UP before that hour and IN NO WAY could we

get there. I told the lady that I could have saved them a lot of trouble if they

had ONLY ASKED US about it. She had to call back the office and reschedule

the appt for a later one. This made our wait to see the new dr. at least

2 weeks LONGER..  Boy.. talk about confusing. WISH they would get their

act together.
