Yes you read that right.. it is 75 here and I have never

seen so many smiles and happy faces as I have today.

No one is indoors on a day like today. It is quite breezy but

we haven’t seen this in months so we don’t really care.

The days of shoveling are only a dim memory now..

HAPPY SPRING.. you bet it is!! It’s no April fool either!!

This is cute thought you would like it too! Smile

Have a wonderful spring evening! SmileSunRed rose

WONDERFUL NEWS!!

WE GOT WONDERFUL NEWS!!
They changed mom’s schedule to afternoons
instead of early mornings. You have to be on a list
and Mom was. It took us 5 months to get this time
slot. So from now on there are NO early mornings,
no sleeping in the car, no extreme hunger pains because
breakfast was at dawn. No more going to Dr. appointments
out of town because you were busy when he was in your own
town. No more going to bed at dusk and forcing yourself
to go to sleep because 4:30 comes early. No more driving
in the dark until FALL comes. We will have weekends free
for the first time in almost 6 months. Party
A breath of fresh air
blew in and with it the SPRING warmth!
This change will make our lives so much better all
the way around. Smile
We both always worried
we would oversleep and not make it there on time.
Now Sis will get to come too if she wants or leave me
home and let me make dinner. Now if the car breaks down..
more people will be available to help out and we could
even RENT a car if we had to.  It does make a world
of difference. Sure lots of changes in therapy and such
will take place.. but it can all be handled.Looking forward
to this Easter weekend now with some new energy and
relief. Smile
Here is hoping you all have a Wonderful Wednesday!!Sun
P.S.
This will be the first “holiday” mom is home for since last year before Thanksgiving. We will go all out for one meal and I am sure she will love it!!!

The Hemi..The Hummer.. and the Half Ton..

Standard
Ever since I found WiFi I have been in some wierd
places using the internet. I went to the hospital parking
lot to get "hooked up". Most times I stay inside
the car, but it was COLD out so I went inside the building and came
back out and .. then UH OH….Surprised
I was smack in between a HEMI truck and a HUMMER.
Behind me was a large Ford truck called a half-ton. Good
grief!!. How the heck do I get out? I stood there looking at
the situation when an older gentlemen came by and said
"quite a predicament huh?" My car is not a small one
but a mid-size one.  If I back up I will back right into the
truck…On top of that I cannot SEEConfused what’s coming
from the drivers seat. Now I have to go pick up MOM
at the treatment center and I can’t sit there all day waiting
for SOMEONE.. or anyone to move first. Thinking
What to do???

I went back inside and looked around the waiting room
to see if there was anyone who "looked" like they might
own one of those monsters. I stood there talking to the
lady volunteer for awhile. I decided if I had to, I would use
my cell phone and call the center and tell them of my
situation. I went outside and walked toward my car.
An old man with a CANE came out behind me and was
walking the same way. I moved over as I was trying to
find the number of the center on my cellphone. The old man
passed me by and I watched him walk near the HUMMER.
Could it be?? I walked faster to catch up. I said "OH brother!"
looking at my car sitting there. The old man chuckled and said..
"Oh that’s nothing.. I used to be a truck driver.. I can move any
car anywhere.. He seemed very nice so I told him to GO ahead
and try.. I would guide him.
He moved slowly into the drivers seat. Placing his cane inside
the car he proceeded to start the car. I stood near the back of
the car as he backed up an inch at a time. ( I was relieved he was
slow..Eye-rolling)
By golly that old man got that car out of the spot just like he
said he could. I was sure relieved a gave him many many
Thanks!! AS I drove out of the parking lot very happy..I looked
into the rear view mirror………….
YOU GUESSED IT….. the old man put his foot on the running board
of the HEMI and got into the drivers seat. He could have just moved
the truck.. but you see he had something to prove to me and to himself…
OLD TRUCKERS NEVER DIE… THEY JUST KEEP ON TRUCKIN’

HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT TUESDAY!!

SUNDAY UPDATE…

Standard
Finally able to get back to my space. WOW.. what a
terrible time I have had trying. I gave up three times
yesterday. Not a happy camper for sure. Sad
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
I recently taped a show on ABC which involved
the Chef Jamie Oliver from England. He is on a
real quest to make food served in schools more
healthy. It took me days to get time to see this
show but I really wanted to. It is called
FOOD REVOLUTION ..look for it!!Light bulbStar
The amount of work and hoops he had
to jump through, both with the administration
and the staff and even the federal government
and their guidelines would make you dizzy. Sick
Boy was I shocked at
how little the children of the schools knew. They
had NO CONCEPT of what any kind of vegetable
was. We are talking kids who are at least 4 and 5
years old. Did any of the children know what they
were eating? Did any of them know how to use a
knife and fork? All the schools provided was SPOONS.
Shocking..Surprised it sure was for me. Some education
begins at home and that means that home life
for these children does NOT consist of any kind of
learning about basic use of table utensils. Kids
only care about what tastes good and what is
fast and simple to eat. I am sure their eyes were
openend and maybe.. if this show begins to catch
on the whole nation could jump on the band wagon.
When I went to school.. (blah blah blahWink).. white milk
only..you got a whole bottle to yourself. No flavors involved.
I did chores at home and boy we KNEW what a simple
thing like corn was and potatoes and even tomatoes.
We snapped beans and helped make jam and jelly
and can peaches. Today it is all the simple canned
foods mostly and most of us are living in the hurry
up generation.  Time for change I truly believe it.
We have children now who are at high risk for
all kinds of problem illnesses.. diabetes, and more.
I bet if you watch just one show you will be sold on
the idea of making a change. There are many petitions
floating about the internet wanting people to sign up
and have some change come to their schools too.
This next week he tackles the HIGH SCHOOL kids.
The kids who have already learned they can eat
junk and get away with it. I predict real chaos.
Just my opinion anyway.. on what I thought of the show.
StarStarStarStarStar Funny it takes a guy from ENGLAND to
come to the USA to make changes for the better for
U.S kids.  Thinking

Cool and damp here today.. making a pot of soup and
maybe make some banana bread later. Next week
promises to be glorious here with 70 degrees in the
forecast.. OH HAPPY DAY.. I am putting my snowblower
away.. Smile

HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT SUNDAY!!
