HERE’S HOPING YOU ALL WILL HAVE A HAPPY, HEALTHY, AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!!
UPDATING here to let all know that mom is doing okay. She is managing her pain well and so far but her strength is not back to normal yet. She will be released from the hospital soon to go have some rehabilitation at a center in our town. We wanted her to have a nice Christmas at home this year but she just did not recover well from her recent surgery etc. The timing stinks but we have learned that every day we have is special and to be glad that we have them.
HERE’S HOPING YOU ALL HAVE A SAFE AND MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Mom is doing well today.. resting okay with many drugs in her. Trying to manage her pain is hard because she has more than one issue going on. Sudden onset of neck pain Thursday did not help. Surgeon said it was not caused by the small clots they found in her neck veins. So.. we wait until further testing to find out what is going on. She came through her surgery fine and we think she will heal well from it. She is alert and ate well and is anxious to get home. We spent 13 hours in the hospital yesterday waiting because of delays in surgery. Some families were still in the waiting room at 9 PM last night waiting for the surgery to end. It truly was a mad house in there. On top of that.. we have a storm watch for the whole state and boy it sounds terrible. I have packed a bag and filled the car with all the stuff we will need in case we have to stay over night there at the hospital if we get stuck there.
