SHARK TANK

If you haven’t seen this show..you should be watching it. Ordinary people who come up with ideas to make money with products that will sell. OR WILL THEY? Seems that the panel of Sharks, who are pretty rich individuals and have made billions, sometimes don’t think the products are worthy. Sometimes they fight to see who can get the best deal. Sometimes they all go in together and make an offer. If you ever have lost a lid to a garbage can in a bad storm and try to buy a new one to fit..FORGET IT..you have to buy a whole new can. The couple on this episode came up with an idea to fit ANY garbage can. DID they get backing??? GO HERE and see. I have lost many a lid in my day and boy keeping critters OUT is a real problem. I gather if you have a problem that other people have too, and you come up with a way to solve it..BINGO you got a product that will sell. So my sister says to me.. “I need to find something to keep the cat busy while I am away.” DARN..someone already came up with many ideas like that. Well I will keep looking and thinking.

This past Friday night I was watching  the program and  a mom and two young girls walked in the room. Right away, they smiled and were polite when the teen girl spoke and told of her product and how it got its name and why she came up with the idea. They did NOT seem interested a whole lot, until she told them how MUCH MONEY she has made on it ..MILLIONS already. You visibly could see them jump and fidget in their seats. How in the world could this young woman and her little sister be millionaires? ” Then why come to us for money ?”  To branch out and make more money! She came up with another idea. More of us regular Joes and Janes need a place to go to get someone’s attention and help. SOMETIMES, they turn them down..but does not mean they lose out. Just for BEING on the program they get coverage that can boost them into bigger sales. If I have mentioned this show before in my blog, well I guess I am losing my mind..but this show is worthy of watching for a few minutes. It sure will  make you start thinking, it has me. Show airs on ABC on Friday nights at 8PM.

Funny when I tried to get into my facebook page I got a message ..and everyone else got one too. It made me think about the “old” days before texting and all we could do was send an e mail to someone. Now we had myspace and it had just come into our lives. Gradually it became a problem. People were doing something new called “blogging” and so the Msn Live Spaces and Blogspot etc got popular quick. Then technology was advanced and people went to Twitter… and then Facebook followed.. and all the blogs kinda lost their interest . Got me to wondering what would happen if Facebook just disappeared. What would we do..go back to blogging?? Go to Twitter? People overwhelmed the twitter pages with news that facebook was “not working”. It is sort of like..”whatever will we do?”..I had to chuckle.. this too shall pass. Life goes on and we will get on with it.Something new will come along in the future.
Wonder what they will call it????

MSN SPACES MESS…

I will add my thoughts on losing the statistics here at Spaces.

WHO CARES?.. I know that is what some people feel. I DID use

them for other things other than how many people were visiting.

I guess other people in charge of changes deemed it important

to just up and cancel them altogether. Too BAD they didn’t ASK

our opinion on the thing.

HELL HOUSE finally got it’s lawn mowed.. YAY!

The whole block is rejoicing and my allergies are

very thankful. It took three men and hour and half

to finish it. I have never seen that large a tractor

mower cutting grass in the city before. The grass

and weeds were at least 4 feet tall in some places.

To cut the grass and then have to weedwhack it

all over again now that was something.

Speaking to the code enforcement officer he said never to

wait that long again.. after it gets 2 feet tall they will

fine the owner and make them cut it. I will be sure to remember

that little law in the future. Not much happening here

in our little world..we have a routine and we have to

keep it . It is kind of like going to work except a lot

more painful and like mom says.. “you don’t get

paid.”..

E Mail Mess…

It might not be a bonafide rant but it is a big complaint

against Hotmail. This is a just a mess! Apparently my e mail sent a mass

e mail to a lot of my address book and it was for a link that could

cause damage to others. This really makes me crazy.. I DID NOT

send it and am letting everyone know it here publicly. If you got

this email with a link please just delete it right away. My inbox had

over 30 errors in it..most of them repeats of e mails that I never sent.

I know Msn has had some really bad days lately. We have lost so many

to using other blogs and things like FB and Twitter. Is it any wonder?

I mean what do we have left now that is trustworthy anymore. I will

be using my Gmail account more and more if this keeps up. Trying to get

around to the people who have updated is extremely hard, especially

if you are pressed for time, and you just cannot check everyone on

your favorite list. I have been using my home page a lot it helps some.

Life is hectic..you sure don’t need a mess in your e mails to make it worse.

If this has happened to you let me know too. I sure hope it doesn’t

happen again in the future. Sorry if it caused anyone any trouble too.

Wednesday is upon us again and time to travel and wait. What wonders

I will come across today who knows.. what pictures I will take

are yet to be seen. I have been taking them lately but have had trouble

posting them. Just one more nuisance we sure don’t need.

WEDNESDAY NOTES..

Still having troubles at MSN. Can’t get to my hotmail and relying on GMAIL to get me to at least read the mail from there. I swear it is weird.. Yahoo was out too yesterday evening and I could not get in there either. AT LEAST they have the courtesy to let you know it is THEIR fault and not your own computer.

We are so dry here the ground is rock hard and the grass is almost to a crunchy state now. I have stopped mowing for fear the dirt will fly up in my face. Some rain is predicted but I am thinking that we need way more than that. I can only feel bad for the poor farmers who are having to irrigate to get anything t grow here. I have been watering twice a day to keep my tomatoes going. I guess it could be worse, we could be getting those very high temperatures they are getting in Texas and the south. I sure would wilt in 100 degree temps like that day after day.  I do remember the days in California like that though, I guess it is all in what you get used to.

Nothing else much happening here..many of the neighbors are gone on vacations and so the street is pretty quiet. I occasionally hear the new born across the street. She has a great set of LUNGS on her!!

For those of you who stop by.. I will be here tomorrow too… I just hope things get worked out over to MSN sooner rather than later.
