WOW HE SAID IT AGAIN!

UPDATES…

 Mom is some better she is not coughing

as much and feels some stronger and that is quite the

improvement. Last night she used V**KS on the bottoms

of her feet and covered them with socks. Her breathing was

better and her coughing did not stop, but was much less.

I got this idea from an e mail but I never thought I would

have to use it so soon. Neither of us have been sick in quite

a long time. It was not a cure but I do believe it helped.

I did not use the same method but used …drugs.. they

seem to work.

I have updated the SPACEWALK SPACE. I have added

a wonderful new space worth visiting over and over. If you haven’t

been there I  think you will really enjoy it.

a woman went into labor while trying to make her vote for

president count.

Pasco County, FL: The elections supervisor in Pasco rejected a

request from a local nudist resort to erect clothing-optional

polling booth for their community.  Supervisor Brian Corley

 said that even though state law does not preclude nude voting,

there is not enough time to consider and act on the request this year.

Westchester, NY: The Westchester County Board of Elections issued a

mailing telling Spanish-speaking voters that Election Day is Sunday,

November 9, instead of November 4.  SHOCKING!!

MONDAY NEWS…

Got all the yard work done yesterday and then went  shopping

for some winter food supplies. I noticed that many prices had

risen just since the last time I had shopped there. Milk was 3.05 in

one place and 2.89 in another so there is quite a price range if

you look for it.  I think now,

more than ever, people are shopping for the bargains and the sales

items. I am all for the prices being reduced so we get more

for the dollar. Gas prices today were 2.71  I just still cannot

believe the drop. Makes me want to buy up containers and fill

them up.  I know, I know.. I wouldn’t really do it.. makes me

want to though.

In case you had not heard. COLIN POWELL came out and endorsed

Obama. I have no idea why he waited so long to let his choice be

known. I guess he was weighing all the pros and cons of each

candidate. I can only say that once upon a time I was All for

POWELL running for office and thought he would make a wonderful

President. It was a real disapointment when he declined running

for any policitcal office. Being a republican for many many years,

and serving in the BUSH sr. administration it was a surprise that

he endorse a democrat.

In my travels yesterday I ran across these two displays in a neighboring

city. They had a contest with scarecrow displays throughout the

city. These two really were very creative. I have no idea who won

the contest. Below was cute and not scary at all. Not the typical scarecrows.

WHO’s CALLING PLEASE???

I don’t know about you all, but I am getting really

sick of all those calls and No one is on the line.. well

not until you say HELLO more than once! Then you get the

automated voice saying.. “DON’T be alarmed, but this is

your last warning!” WHAT THE??? Scared my mother to

pieces! I have gotten so many of those voice things lately

I went out and bought a new answering machine. My old one

was over 10 years old and bit the dust. That warning was about

car insurance and we don’t have insurance with their company.

I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST..

Things were so good until this election thing started.. so many

political calls.. I could care less.. 99% of them are automated and

you can’t even tell them TO STOP CALLING. What a mess!

Hope you all are not plagued by them, Mom has gotten pretty

used to the machine now. She just decides on when and if

she feels like answering. My take on it is.. I monitor the machine

first and then answer them. Anyway.. the day the election is over

I sure will be glad!! I will be glad that it will be four years before we

have to go through it again.

The debate went well in my opinion. I wish they all had been

like this one was. A real view on what they each thought and how

they interacted with each other. McCain came out well and

kept Obama on his toes. I was glad I saw most of it and could

make an opinion of my own on how it went. Hope it helped a lot

of people decide for sure who they want for their president.

Bought gas tonight for 2.85 a gallon.. neighboring stations were

selling it for 2.91. I have heard that it may rise again.Hope that is

not true!

RED, YELLOW, GREEN…

Apparently both candidates are so anxious to get

their views across to the pubic,( in the debates) 

that they don’t pay

attention at all to those lights that are there to help

keep things going . I just could see the

frustration in the moderator trying to keep them on

point and moving along. At one time, McCain told

Brokaw to just wave his arm. Long answers that sometimes

were not on the subject.. I cannot see a whole lot

of difference between this debate and the other one.

When ask a question, you really should answer it so

the people understand what it is your are saying.

I guess I just remember debates of the past that

were the back and forth kind that really made the

public sit back and take notice. When they were over

you really got a clear grasp of the candidate, and what

he stood for. You knew right away who won and who was

the best person for the job. My own opinion is that I am

just not “getting” that yet. Mark me as still confused.

Rainy here today.. but the weekend looks wonderful with high

70′s. I really need some of that to finish up my yard work.

The signal light on our car went out and the first place I thought

of was the same place I went before A Zone and the helpful

people who work there. He not only helped me in the store, but

outside showing me how to change the bulb. NOW it only took

5 minutes tops.. a garage anywhere would have charged me

labor for it. So I tried to pay him something and he wouldn’t take it.

I offered him cookies instead.. He perked up saying “chocolate chip

Please!” so guess I will be making cookies soon.  Service like that

gets me as a return customer for sure. 

 

GAS is way down to 3.13 here and milk is still 3.49 -3.79..

I noticed that shelves are stocked for a canned good sale

and I will be getting my supplies for the winter months ahead.

You cannot beat 4/1.00 canned foods anywhere.
