OXY CLEAN I LOVE IT!!!!

Standard
I CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS PRODUCT!!

I can’t say enough about it.. It has saved me so much time and
trouble and really helped me with so many cleaning problems.
You know they sell those bottles of spray OXY Clean now..
I bought one and  when I ran out I replaced the liquid with my own
solution from the gigantic bucket of stuff we accquired at SAM’S Club.

Our kitchen floor must be 45 years old at least..it’s linoleum tiles
and is it hard to clean except with stripper. WELL you  already
guessed it…poured some of that on there ..let it sit for about
five minutes and OMG what a miracle..NO SMELL and NO scrubbing!!
I was happy the rest of the day. I have a large floor to do..and
am doing it in sections. WOW I now know what the original color
looked like! LOL..Very impressed at the dirt it is removing.
I make sure the OXY is dissolved in hot water and then pour
it into the bottle. I use a clear plastic catsup dispenser and put some
in there too.I doesn’t have to be hot to work.
I use that on spills on my tablecloth and my clothes.
NO MORE SPRAY AND WASH…..this works GREAT..it really does!!
I treat the stain as I get one and it is gone like magic!!!
IT IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN BLEACH!! Cheaper too! The
bucket comes with a little scoop so you can put it in your
laundry. I use it in my white clothes all the time. I LOVE THIS
PRODUCT..just thought I should share my findings here..someone
might benefit from it somewhere along the way.
They have  something new advertised  it is a BIG BALL of
OXY CLEAN that is in a dispenser type thing that goes in the
laundry. NOw I haven’t tried it yet..but if it works like the other
which I bet it does…WOW… I am looking into that too…will let
you all know how it works out!!!    Removing DIRT…who knew it
could be so easy????

Hope you all have a great FRIDAY!!

PS it is cold here now..in the 30’s tonight in Michigan a large area with
a frost alert, the first of the season. I am still not ready, but I
resigned to the fact I just have to know fall is here and winter
close behind.

Talking about HOW to SURVIVE a HEART ATTACK WHEN ALONE

Standard

Quote     I was visiting JOYS NOISE this morning and came across this interesting blog about being alone and

having a heart attack and helping ones self to survive..IT"S A GOOD TO KNOW THING….PASS IT ON!!!!!

HOW to SURVIVE a HEART ATTACK WHEN ALONE

A few good things to know about heart attacks………..
HEART ATTACK PROCEDURE

Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line…You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea & intense sweating are also common symptoms.

60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up...The pain in the jaw happens to many & awakes them from a sound sleep. Some may be a fortunate ones. Trust them since they tell you its pain unlike anything they’ve ever experienced before…Given a choice between natural child birth & a heart attack, pain-wise it’s much easier to have a baby..!!

Let’s be careful and be aware. The more we know, the better chance we could survive…A cardiologist says if everyone who reads this shares it with others ~ you can be sure that we’ll save at least one life.  Please read this…It could save your life..!!

Let’s say it’s 6:15 PM and you’re driving home (alone of course), after an unusually hard day on the job. You’re tired, upset and frustrated. Suddenly you start experiencing severe pain in your chest that starts to radiate out into your arm and up into your jaw. You are only about five miles from the hospital nearest your home.

Unfortunately you don’t know if you’ll be able to make it that far. You have been trained in CPR, but the guy that taught the course did not tell you how to perform it on yourself.

"HOW to SURVIVE a HEART ATTACK WHEN ALONE"…

Since many people are alone when they suffer a heart attack, without help, the person whose heart is beating improperly and who begins to feel faint, has only about 10 seconds left before losing consciousness.

However, these victims can help themselves by coughing repeatedly and very vigorously. A deep breath should be taken before each cough, and the cough must be deep and prolonged, as when producing sputum from deep inside the chest..!! A breath & a cough must be repeated about every two seconds without let-up until help arrives, or until the heart is felt to be beating normally again.

Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs plus coughing movements squeeze the heart & keep the blood circulating. The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm. In this way, heart attack victims can get to a hospital.

Tell as many other people as possible about this. It could save their lives..!!  Please feel free to copy and paste this and make it into a forward to send to your family and loved ones.  To be aware shows that you care.  This information comes from an article a cardiologist wrote.  I hope we all learned something about this today, because the life we save may one day be our own!

This is so true…being aware can always help save lives. I had never heard of this coughing method. I have had bronchitis so many times in my lilfe I know what deep coughing is about…EVERY TWO SECONDS TO COUGH like that BOY that would be hard indeed..it will be worth it to save ones life!

OPRAH AND GAIL ROAD TRIP PART TWO

Standard
OH BOY..Oprah and Gail Part two of their trip across country aired today. It was again
full of laughs and discovery. The gals are now driving many more hours and stopping
along the way to take a train ride, attend a POW WOW, visit a family who was
made homeless by Katrina and relocated to Colorado, SLEEP in a TEE PEE room that
was built in the 50’s, try on antique costumes for an antique type picture, work out,
shop, and eat an ice cream cone at Dairy Queen for the first time in 21 years!!!
It was neat seeing the beautiful country of ours from their perspective. I think
Gail was really into the trip to have fun and bond more with Oprah than Oprah was
with Gail. It is very evident that Gail has much more fun doing things than her best
friend does. I hope by the end of the trip we will see a more laid back Oprah, the
more fun loving side of her. One can dream, LOL.

Oprah acted like it was more the "job" in some cases. She really did not like the
TeePee room it made her kinda claustrophic..only a tiny window in there. WELL
geez,  the woman told her that it was built in the 50’s and still had all the original
furniture. OPRAH has been to AFRICA where situations are bad and dire..you
would think this a palace compared to that. She learned, as well as the audience
that the American Indians in this country are living in some really bad
situations indeed. I was sad to see how really bad they live. NO water, no heat,
electricity or indoor plumbing in some areas. Doing this road trip with few reservations
or planned stops really gave the viewer an idea how a "celeb" gets, when things
don’t exactly go their way too.

Going cross country with a crew of 18 and a personal trainer along..well is that really
roughing it or what?? I mean..she is cause for excitement when she just shows
up at someone’s house or store. This time she did find a grocery store to stock up
in and also an outlet type store where they bought sheets and pillows. Hmmm
a bit spoiled I guess. She trusts no hotel or motel along the way ..They stopped
at a hot springs and worked out in a health club gym along the way. Sitting in a
car for 11 hours a day is grueling..(ALL I ever wanted to do was shower and hit the bed.
Working out or walking was really out of the question.)

I must say that with the filming along the way it is enjoyable to see the
USA through their lens and their perspectives. The scenery alone is breathtaking.

I can’t wait for the next installment next Tuesday on OPRAH. I am wondering when
the DVD comes out and how much it will cost?. They could make money on it for
her ANGEL NETWORK.

Pictures can be seen at  www.oprah.com of their trip.

  HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

WHAT’S IN YOUR KEYBOARD?

Standard
WHEN DID YOU LAST CLEAN YOUR KEYBOARD???

Is this something that you do real often or not? I havent..but maybe
I should have.
I tried this test and was shocked. I keep a nice clean keyboard..I thought..

PLACE a nice white sheet of computer paper on your desk.

Flip your keyboard over and slightly tap the back of it over
the paper.

What a shock I got when all kinds of stuff fell out of there!!!
I am the only one using my keyboard..but I can only imagine
what accumulates when kids are involved. YIKES!!!
I guess that is why they sell those canisters of air that are
supposed to clean out your keyboard for you. Guess I will
be investing in one because my keyboard was really full of
hairs, and stuff that doesn’t even have a name. I bet some of that is
skin from my fingers and such. EWWWW..I shudder to think.

I hear there is a new thing on the market. You can
COMPLETELY immerse the new keyboard in water!!!!
I am so blown away at new technology these days.

It sounds far fetched but if you google it you will see they are
selling them that are washable and some that are completely
immersable. I don’t think I wil be getting one ..but I sure will be
cleaning my keyboard more often from now on!!

THEY ARE BACCCk!!!

Standard

img218/4256/stink18dc1.gif       OH YES THEY ARE!!! Seems the neighbors have
been putting cat food out to catch a stray cat that has been around and
the lovely stinky skunks have been eating it!! They have seen or captured
7 skunks this past summer in their live trap. After the FIRST one I would
have never tried that again!! Seems the neighbor left his house to go get
a newspaper yesterday morning and came home to one sitting on his porch steps..I guess
waiting for his "kitty dinner"!! The whole neighborhood KNEW he was
there too! The neighbor had to back out of the driveway and walk slowly to
the front door so he could enter his house. Our house was saved being several
doors away but I can only imagine what their house smelled like. When we
called over there to see what was going on..we were shocked to find that
they have 1. had so many  and 2. have been  inadvertantly feeding
them.  No..they didn’t know CAT FOOD was calling them to their house.

The other neighbors garden is long gone for anything for the skunks to
eat..so I guess cat food was pretty tasty.  Mind you this is two blocks from
the downtown area and one block from the college campus! There is
heavy traffic through here and it is unusual to see one skunk much
less 7 of them this season. The other neighbors are afraid that these creatures
will seek alternate housing(if you know what I mean) once the weather changes
and the snow falls. I can only shudder to think!! I am sure watching my garage door and
sometimes go in there and close the door behind me. What if one were in
there already? OH LORD! I think I would panic or pass out!!! Does one know
what they really would do in that instance? I hope I NEVER find out!!
One lesson learned though..Don’t leave CAT FOOD  outside or you
might get a stinky visitor.                     img218/4256/stink18dc1.gif

PS..I was asked when the OPRAH ROAD TRIP is being aired again. it’s on each TUESDAY’s show. I guess until they
reach their destination of NYC. SHE and Gail will be on Good Morning America tomorrow.
No doubt to talk about their trip some more.  Since I last wrote about her trip here,
I have lots of hits here from people seaching google for
her info on the trip. To ALL NEW READERS  of this BLOG..        W E  L  C  O  M  E  !!

WOW its chilly!!

Standard
WOW  it’s chilly this morning here in lower Michigan and even colder  in upper Michigan.
All this is just way too fast for me! I AM NOT READY!! When the weatherman on tv says
frost warning..I had to think.."in Septemmber?" Yeah I know …wake up and know it’s
fall and it’s coming. I guess I was just hoping for more of a Indian Summer. We sure didn’t
have any of that around here. I was informed that several places have had such hot summer
they are more than ready for the cooler weather.  I hope I am not going to be looking like
this anytime soon though, I am
sure as heck not ready for this….. img225/20/winter02yz9.gif. No  way!!!

Watched a new show Wednesday night called Jericho.(CBS).(yeah I know I was the only one since Dancing and the Stars was on). Interesting concept indeed. The small town who does NOT know if the whole world is in jeopardyor not from nuclear explosions in the continental USA. Throw in some escaped convicts and a bus crash full of children for excitement. I think the individual stories of the townsfolk and their perspectives might beinteresting. Next week they all have to be sealed into a mine to escape nuclear fallout! I can’t figure out
if this is supposed to be a dramatic show or just a piece of cheap B movie rip off. It does not have
nearly the interest that say Men in Trees has. That show has comedy though, that helps it along. It all
depends on the way the writing is done and how well acted it is. Seeing the first episode..well I give it a
B- ..they better step up the game..a lot of people are not going to watch this..they are too interested in
dancing right now.

Hope you all have a great weekend…it will be soggy here I have heard..but we will survive it. Hey…
it’s better than snow..I don’t have to shovel it either! lol…

WEDNESDAY SPACE WALK SPACE

Standard
   img207/5792/chaos1he7.gif

WHEN  I am seeking a space walk space.., I just look for an interesting read and something
that maybe  I can learn from. . I had never seen this space before,
although I had seen the name numerous times in the comment sections of others blogs.
A CALM IN THE CHAOS is  written by 33 year old Elizabeth. She  maintains three,
yes three blogs!! ( a woman after my own heart!) One is a space for fitness and it is very well done, called
SHADOWS and CURVES.  Elizabeth is going to college to get a degree in Exercise Science..so she should know a
whole lot about this subject. The other blog is about going to college and studying to get the degree
called  THE ADVENTURES OF A 33 YEAR OLD COLLEGE STUDENT, very informative indeed and full of observations on
life as a college student. This  married, working mom has two daughters, loves to sing and dance and write poetry, met her husband in Korea, has a dog named  Harley, 3 cats, can bench press 90 lbs, loves hummingbirds, and spends way too many hours on the computer. Here is a sample from her space…."

"1:30:22 Baby!

I FINISHED!  I am an official (sprint) triathlete!

Wow…what an amazing experience. I feel tired but euphoric and my fanny is aching but overall I’m feeling great.  I wanted to finish before 2 hours and did I ever! In fact I finished 6th for my age group and 119 overall out of 307. That I finished better than half of the participants, first time out, blows my mind.  I won’t bore you with a play by play but will say that the swim went great, the biking fantastic (thanks to my biking coach’s bike!) and the run…eh. I think I could have done better…and next year I will.

The best part? My husband said to me that he’d do this with me next year. That put me over the moon!"

OH there is more than meets the eye to this space..you have to check all  the blogs out to find out all about Elizabeth’s life
but it is pretty darn amazing.
