WHAT  a day here dealing with
Dr. offfices and trying to get copies of test results. I find that
just calling and telling them anything is completely a waste
of my time. I had to go personally and sit there and watch them
until they made the copies I requested. When I called the specialist
early this morning the assistant told me that they had not
recieved ANY tests copies and they had no idea that mom had
been ill at all. TYPICAL.. Confused  So I filled her in and asked what
EXACTLY would they like me to hand carry to the office.
YOU CAN GUESS what she said.. EVERYTHING!! WOW …
so 14 copies later I walked out of the office and felt like I had
spent an eternity in there. Sad Tuesday will be another long
day too.

Gas went back up here in some places it is 1.99. Here in town
is it now 1.96. I suspect that the closer it gets to Easter the higher
it will rise. The stores have been running specials every other week
so you can get milk cheaper at 1.99 a gallon. Smart move on their
part.  IN the neighborhood. another house is about to be demolished
and almost the entire block in front of my house will belong to the
same owner who wants to develop it into a large storage building.
The way it stands now it is a large grassy area and people walk their
dogs there, kids play ball and it has been a nice “park-like” area.
Progress… you sure can’t stop it!

Well not much more from here.. must get some rest for tomorrow.
Please bear with me in visiting you all.. I will get around as soon
as things calm down some here.
HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT DAY!!

  1. Doctors’ offices anymore are overwhelmed with paperwork with HMOs, governments requirements and just the day-to-day routines of running an office. You did the right thing. Your mother is lucky to have a daughter like you. Not all parents are so blessed. I hope she pulls through this.

Speaking of blood pressure issues, my father was given this “breathing machine” which tries to teach you to slow down your breathing, thus lowering your blood pressure. I tried it out but didn’t care for it that much.

Gas up near Bay City was often $1.89 a gallon, though around here it’s $1.99, like it is where you are. I can’t figure out why it’s a dime a gallon less up north.

  2. A lot of doctor’s won’t see Medicare clients because of the paperwork, and the poor reimbursement rates. I hope you are doing better today, that you got some rest. BTW, I saw gas for $2.19 here today.
