WHAT                     a day here dealing with
Dr. offfices and trying to get copies of test results. I find that
just calling and telling them anything is completely a waste
of my time. I had to go personally and sit there and watch them
until they made the copies I requested. When I called the specialist
early this morning the assistant told me that they had not
recieved ANY tests copies and they had no idea that mom had
been ill at all. TYPICAL.. Confused  So I filled her in and asked what
EXACTLY would they like me to hand carry to the office.
YOU CAN GUESS what she said.. EVERYTHING!! WOW …
so 14 copies later I walked out of the office and felt like I had
spent an eternity in there. Sad Tuesday will be another long
day too.
Gas went back up here in some places it is 1.99. Here in town
is it now 1.96. I suspect that the closer it gets to Easter the higher
it will rise. The stores have been running specials every other week
so you can get milk cheaper at 1.99 a gallon. Smart move on their
part.  IN the neighborhood. another house is about to be demolished
and almost the entire block in front of my house will belong to the
same owner who wants to develop it into a large storage building.
The way it stands now it is a large grassy area and people walk their
dogs there, kids play ball and it has been a nice "park-like" area.
Progress… you sure can’t stop it!
Well not much more from here.. must get some rest for tomorrow.
Please bear with me in visiting you all.. I will get around as soon
as things calm down some here.

  1. I am sorry you had to do the leg work on what should have been faxed over. I had a simuler thing for the insurance company. We had to ask three different times just what was going on and the insurance co. wanted me to get copies of files. If they asked they’d have to pay for them. They wanted me to pay for them. My Doc said no way let them pay for them LOL! It’s getting to be a run around these days. Gas is 1.79 now, was 1.69 last week. Milk is 3.29 a gallon. Cigs went up $5.00 a carton!!! Holy smokes is right!! Have a good day tomorrow my friend.

  2. Oh gosh I hope they don’t put ugly things in front of your home! Why do they do that? Right in the neighborhoods. When I grew up there was the industrial part of town with businesses and then neighborhoods, no businesses. Now there’s junk everywhere. WHen did they start allowing that? Horrible planning.

  3. Isn’t that frustrating with the medical field? I’ve had many similar such things. Just trying to talk to our doctor is very difficult and I could understand that if the nurse you have to go through more than half the time doesn’t tell the doctor what she’s supposed to so it’s always a game of hide and seek followed by playing catch up…if you weren’t sick before you would be after a few rounds of that. I’ve been watching the gasoline prices edge up…word has it the government’s big idea to go green is tax everyone to death for what we have and not offer any solutions…I hope somehow we’re spared that…our state is cold and it’s expensive enough as it is. Progress…indeed, we used to have open fields behind us with so many birds and little wild animals…it’s all being developed and of course the financial crisis shows up so the houses get a lot cheaper and rough looking…they started with nice fences and went to very cheap ones so it’s really bad…I guess I wouldn’t mind progress if it felt like any steps forward were involved!

  4. It can be so frustrating to have to deal with people who expect you to have this and that… when they don’t have their own ducks in order. It really depends on the office policy and the employees doing the interpretation. When you get a kind, and/or experienced, and common sense individual… it is such a blessing. I have begun praying for them…lol…and will be doing the same for you and your mother. The cancer clinic section has angels as far as I am concerned…as they are the most consistent with professionalism. Some of the rules and regulations are ridiculous, and a waste of time… for blood taking proceedure, and as Joe said about "if you weren’t sick you would be after a few rounds of that" and we have experienced that also. Have a good day tomorrow and may you be surrounded with that peace that passes understanding.

  5. I am so sorry you had to go thru all of that. I would have hoped that the Dr. office that did not have any idea what is going on with your mom would have called the other office and requested the forms themselves,. They have the clout to get it done. I am so sorry that you had to go thru all of that. That is such a shame . Try to rest, and I will be so happy for you when the paperwork gets straightened out. (((HUGS)))

  6. That is so typical of Dr.’s offices. I’ve got a friend with cancer and he had a bone marrow biopsy. His wife called several times for the results finally they had to go downtown Detroit sit in front of the doctor and he said, you had a bone marrow biopsy? When? So you see it’s everywhere and it sucks for sure. I’ve got to start weaning the hubby off of D O O L. He’s hopefully going back to work soon. I wasn’t home for lunch yesterday and he filled me in on everything… tee hee ha ha and he says he watches it because I make him. tee hee ha ha. Just makes me laugh and think of you and mom. Hope today is brighter, easier and more happy then yesterday!! ttfn

  7. What a chore and it could have all been handled thru the doctor’s offices. Sad to say but we are all just a number to them and they could care less.Hugs to you and mom.

  8. It’s crazy the way they give you the run-a-round. You would think it would be in their best interest to do it so something doesn’t come back on them later. Hope everything is under control now. Have a good day.Hugs

  9. Good heavens Carol you have to hand deliver your Mom’s test reports yourself, I have heard everything, to me the is complete incompetency if you ask me, I can’t see where it would take so much of their time to fax a copy to the specialist. You must be ready to go across some desks at times as it is so aggravating. No wonder you need a rest, I hope today goes better for you hun.Take care and God bless…………….Rusty ((HUGS))

  10. i had to the same thing getting reports for my insurance of the update regarding my health. I gave the doctors heads up about four weeks ago but had to go to there offices to push them. at least they did not charge me for filling out the forms.

  11. Good Grief I can hardly believe all this, You had to waste an entire day to sit there and babysit them to make sure they get it done…unreal. Hope today goes somewhat better.HugsSherry

  12. Sounds like the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing with your doctors! I’m glad you hand-carried all those files so you know they got there OK! Hope today will be easier. Say, I thought the College bought all those houses and tore them down?!?

  13. just stopped in to check up on you and tell you I still have snow boo hoo…but I do see some plants sticking out of the ground pictures will be coming soon I hope…
