COMPUTER SURRROUNDINGS WEEK

Standard
        **WHAT MY MONITOR SEES**

  Computer  COMPUTER SURROUNDINGS WEEK.  Computer
We will begin on MONDAY.. March 30 and continue through the first week of April
to give the people who do not post daily  time to participate.

In case you are new and are unaware–
Computer Surroundings Week is when we all take a photo of where we blog.
It is always fun to catch a glimpse inside all our dwellings and see how each other blogs.
You don’t have to clean  up or anything if you don’t want to… it is totally up to the individual.
Even if your computer surrroundings haven’t changed at all in the past year.. newcomers will be interested
in seeing your computer "space"  or "surroundings". I really don’t know how many years this
tradition has been going on, but I know I have participated at least two times.
Miracle is new this year and so I will be taking a new picture to show off.  Hope you all have
fun and join in.  Computer

Today was different for a change. We got a visit from my niece and she stayed
awhile and even made a batch of Chocolate Chip cookies. MOM was in heaven.
She really misses her granddaughters a lot and just seeing her raised her spirits.
Her appetite too, she ate THREE cookies while they were warm and wanted
more. Wink Her diet is so hard to stay on a lot but I told her TODAY she could
eat them and enjoy herself. Her blood pressure seemed a lot better with the
new meds. I continue to keep my fingers crossed.
#############################################################################
Gas went to 2.09 here!!  I sure hated to see that, but spring approaches and there
isn’t much we can do but deal with it. I heard a report on the news today that some
branches of the POST OFFICE may be closing.
The Postal Service says it is trying to save $100 million annually through a series of
measures that include closing offices and eliminating positions.
Postal district-level administrative positions are being cut by 15 percent,
or about 1,400 people. Another 1,400 mail processing supervisors and
management positions are being eliminated at almost 400 facilities nationwide.
WELL WELL.. the mail is slow as it is.. and pretty darn unreliable these days
in my book so.. now they want to FIRE or layoff people and make it even
MORE hard for us to get the mail at a reasonable time. Talk about a big
mess waiting to happen..  Confused

HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT DAY!!

  1. Love your sweat shirt! Hey the USPS is faster than UPS!! Yahuh! Hope the weather behaves by you. Any cookies left? Yum!

  2. Looking forward to seeing the blog space photos…it will be my first year for that. Chocolate chip cookies are best served fresh out of the oven so I’m glad your Mom got to enjoy that treat. The docs are still trying to find something to keep my Mom’s b/p under control too…it is so unpredictable and scares us all to death. I thought when they fixed that stint, it would solve the problem but it seems to have gotten worse…and her diabetes doesn’t help either. It’s awful to worry about our parents, isn’t it? Ever since Dad died, Mom’s health has been awful and before that she had never had a problem except for the diabetes which was well controlled…it’s sad and very scary. Emma will be making peanut butter cookies tomorrow so looking forward to snatching some of them fresh out of the oven…wish I could send your Mom some!Hugs

  3. I like the idea of blog space photos , Like Rhonda this will be my first year and can’t wait to see. Gas is going up here too , everyday its a new price per gallon. Glad the new medicine is helping your mom. Take care and you and your Mom have a great day. Hugs, Pat

  4. I have participated in the computer surroundings the last 2 years and I am in the process of wading through the junk on my desk trying to clean it off. I enjoy seeing other peoples messes too. LOLYou are right about the postal service. I mailed my daughter a bubble envelope on Saturday and she just got it yesterday. That is 5 days to go 100 miles. Do stock up on the forever stamps because the postal rates are being raised again in May.Hugs to you and mom.

  5. Haven’t participated in the computer surroundings before so I hope you all like Betty Boop. So nice your mom got to have the cookies and glad her bp is doing better. Why in the world don’t they just eliminate Sat. It wouldn’t bother me at all. Have a good day

  6. I’ll take a photo of my mess to show everyone. Isn’t it amazing how a little visit like that can lighten someone’s day. I hope she comes back again soon. I heard that too about the postal service and that’s just what this country doesn’t need..more people out of work. They are closing a post office in a small town near us. Wishing you and mom and good day and enjoy those cookies.

  7. I don’t ever remember participating in this Computer holiday (if you can call it that!), but I will drag out the camera and try to get a few shots. Choc. chip cookies always make one smile—glad your Mom could enjoy them this once! Diets can be depressing if you can’t eat anything you like or crave. I know only too well…

  8. I will be ready to take another photo. This guy hasn’t been photographed yet I don’t think. Everything else looks the same though. I hate that about the post office. That will be awful and it already is on the edge of being awful. There are many MANY times my mail doesn’t get here till 7PM. I count myself lucky that I get my mail as many too many times, it has been just seemingly randomly out in other mail boxes.

  9. Ok I’ve taken some pics. I excluded my morning face ones and just took pics of my blogging area. I have a lap top so it’s usually on my lap but it’s too early for me to get pics of that so I just ook pics of where I sit with it! I’m so happy to hear your mom is getting her appetite back!

  10. I’m looking at your sweatshirt and assuming the words above SNOW are I HATE! LOL I’ll add a picture of my computer surroundings this week. I think this has been going on for quite a few years now. I remember showing one of my desk when I was still working. It sounds like a sure thing that the post office will shorten their week. Actually, I think it’s a bargain being able to send things all over this country for 42 cents. Compared to other countries, we’re getting a pretty good deal.Chocolate chip cookies sure sound good. I may have to whip up a batch today. Have a good one!

  11. Hey this "Computer Surroundings Week" sounds cool and I just might have to take part. So we take a picture of our desk where we do our blogs, is that the idea? I don’t think I can get a photo like yours of what my computer sees. Hope you are all geared up for a nice weekend. Take care and God bless…………Rusty ((HUGS))

  12. I am also wondeirng how to send a picture to you…maybe this will give my webcam that gathers dust something to do at last LOL!

  13. Oh GOOD!! I didn’t miss COMPUTER SURROUNDINGS WEEK!! I’ll be sure to post mine. I Love seeing everyone’s computer stations. I’ll clean mine up but just a little. Gas is 2.25 here!!Hope your week id Great!!

  14. you don’t want to see my messy surroundings…ha ha ha!~*:.♥.:*~ because you shared a smile :o) someone’s day got brighter… ~*:.♥.:*~

  15. It was nice to read that you mom was able to have the cookies and that this treat didn’t affect her negatively and that the meds seem to be helping. So far so good.I put up a picture recently of my new computer, and the little work area I use, but will ask K to take another for next week.Wishing you and your mom a blessed Friday and weekend.
