GOOD NEWS ?

Standard
Well I am still trying to decide if today we got good news
or not. Mom’s dr visit went well.. He said the other Dr.’s were
doing everything right. ALL the test results and such I hand
carried to his office SAVED US A TON.. no further tests were
required. He said in her case they could not do a dye test
on her heart because of her kidney problems. All he could say
was she had a  slow irregular heart beat and that was nothing too serious.
Most patients would have been put under many tests. Mom will
not be. Made me wonder what really was going on, that we
won’t know. Thinking

He seemed PUZZLED as to WHY she was refferred to him when she
was not in any pain or discomfort. I told him the office set it up… we sure
didn’t. Talk about confusion. Confused You all know mom is 82 and she tells
people that often.. today when he asked her how old she was….
she looked him in the eye and said " I am 63."  SIS and I were
shocked!!  I am thinking maybe other testing may have to be
done soon, ones for her comprehension etc.  Anyway.. this visit
confirmed that everything the regular Dr. and the specialist
are doing are exactly right. Made me feel great.
The day was sunny Sun and about 60 here! I loved it. I think we are
in for more of the same for the next  three or four days!!
ABOUT TIME!!!  Sun

This is a mural that was painted on the wall of the office building
where mom went. It was painted in 2002 by Michael Peck.
I bet it took him quite a while to finish it. It really set the lobby
off well. It must have been at least 12-14 feet tall! The
ceiling is above the top of it.. at least 6 more feet.  Liking
water the way I do.. it was very pleasing to my eye. I could
have sat there a long time looking at it. Smile

HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT DAY!!

  1. Hi Carol, It’s great that you’re seeking answers for your mom and her health. The mural is lovely and it’s good that you’re taking time to stop and take in beauty. Hope that the rest of your week is pleasant and thanks for being a friend. Hugs, Deb

  2. Good news to you & your Mom. My mom is 82 also, she had a dr. visit yesterday too , they have a hard time keeping her blood pressure regulated, tried new medicine yesterday. Have to wait and see. She also has trouble walking, they told her it was arthritsis. Gave her some cream and she said it helped. You do a great job taking care of your Mom. My Mom is still on her own sorta, she lives alone, I’m across the street and I check on her several times a day. She depends on me heavy. You take care and know that I know where you are coming from. Oh and we are suppose to have pretty weather today? Hugs, Pat

  3. Good news about Mom. Was she flirting with the doctor, saying that she’s only 63? LOL kidding…Beautiful mural, nice picture.

  4. That is good news. I was going to say the same thing Cindy said but she beat me to it lol.Hopeyou enjoy your day, it’s going to be another good one.HugsSherry

  5. Great news about your mom..and yes, the cognitive tests would likely be a good idea. It would give you and your sister a leg up on care and possible treatments. (((HUGS)))

  6. This is such good news about your mom. Her slow irregular heartbeat may be caused by one of her bp meds. I have had the same problem for years and finally I have been taken off the attene*** and my heartbeat is normal and I finally have a pulse rate that is above the low 40s.Hugs to you and mom.

  7. Good news for sure! Glad all those meds seem to be doing OK for her. Keep up the good work! That is a pretty spectacular painting. They should have had a little babbling brook soundtrack running behind it for effect!

  8. Hi hun, that is wonderful news that the meds are doing the job for your Mom and she is doing better but getting her assessed for Alzheimers would be a good idea. Don’t mean to worry you dear I only say it out of concern because my Mom has it. She is not competent and cannot be left alone. Hang in there hun, take care and God bless…………..Rusty ((HUGS))

  9. Are ya sure your mom was funnin’ him on the age thing? I’m glad she’s over all healthy and the meds are doin’ good. If she wasn’t funnin’, I would think the problem stems from one of the meds, not from something like dimentia or alzhiemers. I’ve got some goofy side effects from the pills and some days I don’t remember stuff that I should darnd well know.
