It’s another beautiful day here.
More people have been stopping by the HELL HOUSE since
that sign was posted. I guess they think they are getting a
great BIG house for that price until the investigate it further.
Funny it hasn’t occurred to them WHY the Price is so LOW!
You would never know the people were even checking it out
except you hear them talking really LOUD when they see
that mess inside it. Voices booming all over the quiet
Sunday morning. Around here you hear the occasional car
go by or the church bells chiming, but loud voices always
make people stop and look to see is going on. Hell House
was a nice house and many, many, many families have lived
in it over the years. It didn’t become HELL HOUSE until
the drug addicts, dealers and their associates moved in.
It was converted into three apartments years ago and that
is when the trouble started. Mom reminded me that way
back when one family would live in that whole big house.
I had to stop and think on that because YES they sure did!
It was re-done with vinyl siding and a new roof when it was
converted. Just know it will take a lot of money and fixing to
get it in shape to be liveable again.
Here are some views from our trip yesterday
This sign cracked me up because I wasn’t thinking of a
chest of drawers when I first read it.
We passed a place where the people were striking but
weren’t..Wink   They obviously got it right as they  were set
up to stay in comfort while they did it..that is WHEN they
were THERE!  LOL  Nice umbrella!!
I got through the crowds okay in most stores, but was
distressed to see the conditon of the KM**T store in that
town. The shelves nearly empty and the stock not
put up. So many clearance prices I asked if they were closing.
The clerk said NO..but I still wonder. Sometimes they are
the last ones to know. In the grocery store SIS was appalled to
see Cucumbers 1$ a piece, maybe in the winter but summertime.
NO way! Guess that ride to
the country market is really called for today.
Here is my SKY picture for the day.. it  pretty much looks like
that today too. I hear some rain might be coming, but I still water
the tomatoes anyway because you just don’t know how much
you really will get when it all  blows over.

  1. Glad to hear your trip was a success—in spite of the K**rt store. That is a great hearing aid sign. Hope your trip to the Farmers Market is a success. We’re going to a "birthday party" this afternoon for the father of one of Hubby’s work friends—across town. So, there’s a couple of loaves of zucchini bread in the oven as I write. Sunny here too, but still windy. Stay safe this Labor Day!

  2. Doesn’t sound good for the K Mart store. That’s what they did and said here before they shut ours down. First just some empty shelves, the suddenly a sell off of everything. Hope it doesn’t happen there.

  3. You’d think they would clean the house up inside if they want to sell it. A little paint helps a lot. Hope you find cheaper cukes. That’s outrageous.

  4. The KMart store in my big city closed several years ago as did the one where my daughter lives. I always liked them and I hated when they closed. I don’t like cucumbers till they become pickles. lolHUGS!!

  5. Wow continued saga of Hell House. It’s too bad someone couldn’t come in and redo that place. Did they ever get rid of that wasp nest? You see on tv all the time people re-vamping those crummy houses. I hope for your sake someone will take it on. It would probably do some good for the owners of that house to at the very least clean it up so someone could see the potential and not the mess! Fun pics..

  6. I see the saga continues on the Hell house!!! For your sake I hope whoever buys it are good people and will clean it up!!! I loved the drawer picture cracked me up. Hope you have a wonderful Labor Day. Hope your Mom is doing good too. Love ya, Patsy

  7. If I had the money, I would buy it, strip it and flip it… HELL House that is… it’s a great price for someone to do that… don’t worry, it’ll work out…
