Ever since I mowed the lawn I have felt a little weird. Last
night very tired and this morning the old nose is dripping.
Hoping to nip it in the bud I am up early this morning with
the pills and the airborne. Our furnace was turned on
over a week ago and so THAT may have something to do
with it though. I cleaned it out as best I could. Dust from
the pipes doesn’t help though. I must report that the
infrared heaters we bought work like a charm. Not only
is the house less drafty our furnace has run less than
it used to. I was able to turn off the furnace heat to the
upstairs completely and just use the heater. The extreme
cold has not set in yet so we will see later how that works
then. The whole state had a freeze warning over night so I know
it is coming soon. Today we were planning another trip to the
bigger city, but not sure if that is going to happen for me or not.
Guess I will have to wait and see how I do with the meds I have
taken. Sometimes I get sleepy and I am just no good for
shopping or anything else. I hate it but those meds are the only
thing that work for me. Well enough depressing sick talk..
People have been weighing in that Nobel Peace Prize that they
gave Obama. You know ..the one that even OBAMA was shocked over.
Well I am thinking that  they probably should have waited until he was
in office at least a year before doing something like that. How can you
give it to a person who was not even in office that long and hadn’t
even done anything worth the honor? Someone on the comittee
jumped the gun on this one.  Just my opinion of the thing.
Shooting the moon to see if it has any water content. Hmmmmm
costs how much??? Scientists are happy with the decision to
do this thing, but the rest of us are scratching our heads wondering
why they did it anyway. Are they expecting people to inhabit the
moon someday? I really don’t think it was a good thing. I may not
know all the facts though. Just my opinion on this too!
Well enough of this..
Think I will take my cup of tea and lay back down for a nap! Coffee cupSleepy

  1. I hope you feel better soon Carol.I agree with you about Obama and the Peace Prize and I also think the moon thing is a bunch of crappola.Hugs,Beth

  2. If they could find water on the moon, it WOULD mean it might be inhabitable. THAT would be a good thing. Sorry you are under the weather. It all seems to be going around here too. M has been exposed to strep and may end up in the doc’s office this weekend yet. Let’s just hope that getting this Peace Prize will spur him to do more peace-wise in this world in the coming year.

  3. I think the peace prize was years premature of at all. Just my opinion. I’m still scratchin’ my head over that. And one person can’t influence the rest of the world. That’s be tried time and again and it fails every time.

  4. Hope you just have a mild case of the sniffles and that the meds will make you feel like your ol’ self again ASAP. Keep your fingers crossed you don’t get what we got last night. Hint…a four letter word that starts with the letter S.

  5. Ditto on all of it…. my grandmother didn’t believe they went to the moon the first time….this is more far-fetched, I think. The Peace , Prize ? LOL

  6. I hope that the heater works out for you, I share your desire to have a warm house when the brutal stuff sets in. It’s seventeen here today so I expect that worse isn’t far away. I share your feelings on the Peace Prize…this isn’t about repecting the office…I respect police but I don’t award them for crimes they didn’t solve either…I’m just sayin’ I saw that whole thing about shooting the moon…I don’t dare ask what’s next. Have a great weekend my friend…nothing exciting for me but picking up my dauther from ballet…how’s that for weekend entertainment?

  7. Dear Carol, For the sniffels take chicken soup, a long hot soak in the tub with a good book and a warm glass of brandy. As for the Nobel Peace Prize……What were the judges smoking? I really had a WTF moment when I read that news. Though the pres is a very good speaker and finger pointer, words are only words. He is talking the talk but not walking the walk of real time progress. Well, what should one expect from a Chicago lawyer? Miracles, I think not. Perhaps his new slogan should be, " Sho do got dem white folks fooled". Just kidding. Speaking of jokes how about the price tag for the latest moon shot when the tax money could be best spent cleaning up our own back yards, streets, and prevent kids from killing kids. We have enough problems here and now without trying to turn science fiction into a reality. Oh my, enough for now andas ever be well

  8. I have a drip going too and chest congest ah bit. I too thought it was from the furnace blowing some ole dust and stuff out the vents. Take care for sure. I remember I got goosebumps hearing Obama talking to so many people in Berlin before he became president. He really had to mend the broken relationships Bush severed and gave the world hope that "Yes We Can". Now the moon thing came as a surprise. I wasn’t informed of this plan of action. Hmm it will be interesting what they find. Have a warm Sunday girl and take it easy.
