EVER had a computer go beserk..
have a kinda breakdown on you?? I don’t mean a crash.. I mean
kinda out of control opening many windows at once sort of thing
without you doing anything..??? WHOA.. Last night scared the
bejeeeezzzz out of me. I had about 5 windows or so open
rapid fire and just went haywire on me. I had to shut this old XP down.
I don’t think this was a virus or anything. I ran all the scans just
in case. Nothing showed up.
Today I backed up everything
I had left on here on disk..  Lists..you name it.. it has taken a while
to get it together..but I feel so much better doing it..(just in case)..you
never know…………….Thinking I had more than one person tell me that BACK UP is essential
with computers.. I sure agree with that!! I had several crash on me
a couple of years ago..       img63/6484/humor081bg1.gif
So maybe it’s the old computer’s way to say ENOUGH!!.. I have had ENOUGH
of you! I CANT TAKE THIS ANYMORE! You just never know. This Xp is getting older and soon will be

obsolete with all the new technology offered out there. I sure cannot wait
for Windows 7. I saw someone on QVC explaining how the 7 works
it was amazing. It looks incredible. All the things we ever wanted in
a system and we finally get it. Light bulb
Poor thing I think all this blogging has worn it out. Embarrassed DO computers
want a vacation??  LOL   Do they do this so we won’t use them anymore for
awhile?? Kinda like going on strike…the only way they can.Thinking
So I will continue to plug along until I find the answers I seek.
While I was at it.. I turned my keyboard upside down and low and
behold all kinds of junk came out of there.Surprised How does a person
get so much in there? I guess one of those skin things is the trick for
keeping it clean. Smile
Monday while out running errands I took so many pictures. The day
was cloudy but the colors were plentiful.
Amazing what a little frost can do Wink. God is painting some
lovely scenes lately.
Well enough from here…

  1. Sorry about the computer trouble, I’ve sure been there before. I don’t know how thrilled I am about Windows 7…another OS and more expense but then maybe it’s finally the system we’ve all been waiting for. Those are nice colors in those pictures. I envy you. Our cold fronts have destroyed the leaves…nothing but sickly wrinkled green leaves around here…way too early for weather in the teens I’m thinking. Have a great one too my friend.

  2. I have had that happen and shut down fast not knowing what was going on. Scared the daylights out of me. Backed up too. I know my old HP will (the one for the kids games) needs a rest every now and then and it’s not on the net to receive and virus’s. Windows 7? Hope it is all it’s stated to be. Beautiful pictures

  3. That used to happen to our old computer before we had it rebuilt and upgraded to XP. My computer guy told me they do that that opening windows thingie because they don’t have enough memory to handle stuff. Good thing you backed it up, though. Have you tried compressing everything? That usually makes for more room and may solve your problem. Mine automatically compresses stuff. Nice photos! Looks like your camera is working great for you. It’s finally raining—cats and dogs—here!

  4. Totally gorgeous!!!!Having multiple windows open takes a lot of memory. You might try closing what you don’t need. It’s worth a try. You can re-open easily and who knows, it may help. My kids told me that way back when I had a machine not as powerful as the one I have now.

  5. @ SUE & Carole.. Yes I have defraged it and they opened on their own. I figured it was getting to be a memory problem that is why I added an extra GB to the machine but then sometimes that doesn’t help at all. It is an older computer so guess it is to be expected. Wouldn’t you know the sun is shining today.. maybe time to take more pics ; )

  6. Glad you backed up everything. Maybe it needs purging or defragging. Hope it settles down for you. Great Fall pictures. You and your Mom have a good day.

  7. Love the Fall colors!! Looks like New England. I’ts gonna be BAD here tonight. Glad I’ a flatlander. Just feel sorry for the folks in the foothills.I too have an older desktop running XP and have experienced the same thing. My new laptop, also XP, is running fine. I have read dozens of reviews about Windows 7 and nothing negative. MSN had admitted that Vista was a huge mistake and W7 will be the upgraded XP but without the patches. Looking forward to it’s arrival. A few reviews said that now Mac will have to play catch up! I’ll send you some links so you know how much processer speed and memory you need.Raining hard now! Talk soon!Bob~
