I’ve been trying to get back to this blog for days. Every time I get
about half way through it freezes up on me and won’t PUBLISH..Baring teeth
This is my third attempt… so we will see…Confused
Been busy making plates of goodies to take to the doctors and nurses
who have helped mom out over the last month. Sis and I found
some cute jingle bells that look like NURSES at the TRGT store
and so we will be giving them out too. I know mom can be a handful
at times so I really do appreciate all they do for her.

We sat in her room last night, with the lights off, looking at the
optic tree, Four deer walked through the large yard area
near the building. It was almost dark, cold and lightly snowing. Talk about
a moment. Now I wished I had video taped it all. When the lights
are on in the rooms, the deer will not come too close because they
obviously can see you in the room. Ours being off.. they came closer.
It was a picture postcard moment for sure. I was glad they all got across the
road safely. The deer crossing is so close to town, many do not make it.
There seems to be a family of deer, but we have seen at
least a dozen at one time come across this area.
Mom and I love watching for them
in the early evening.

Last weekend to get the last minute shopping done. I will be far away
from the crowds. I planned to get all my errands done early. Am planning
on cooking some for Christmas dinner too. We will see how far I get on
that though. Will be spending most all day with Mom away from home.
Glad we have a crockpot.. they sure have come in handy the past weeks.

  1. They will love that and your appreciation of them. I would say they get precious little.I do love deer despite being caked up with them where I live..all over town. I can’t get enough of seeing them. 🙂

  2. I had a terrible time publishing my last blog too though I was using Live Writer to do so…fact is I can’t imagine not using that. I hope you guys have a great Christmas in spite of it all. My mom will have a minor surgery in January…fortunately it sounds like it won’t be that big of a deal and it should really improve her health. Blessings to you my friend.

  3. I love to watch deer. They are so beautiful and graceful.I am about finished delivering my goody trays. Maybe one more to go. Your recipients will really appreciate your efforts.

  4. Handmade gifts, the best. Oh I can visualize that moment you had seeing the deer. With snow falling all you needed was music.I had problems visiting my home page and friends and thought it was MSN. hmm. Have a good night!

  5. I wish I could have watched those deer. What a picture-postcard moment. I hope your mom is continuing to improve. My mom is 88 and has been diagnosed with Alzheimers. She lives 3000 miles away but still has my dad, although he is in the early stages of Dememtia. Every time I call, she thinks I’m her grandson and tells me to kiss my little boy for her…… I don’t have one. She calls me Jonathan. If you have a spare Angel, please send her one along with your prayers.I hope you have a Wonderful Christmas. I’ll be back before then.Bob

  6. You know you probably have a little short video button on your new camera for 30 seconds of video…I’m so glad you have that scene with the deer and other outdoor activities to watch. Hope you will have a good holiday with your Mom and Sis. Will be thinking of you. Will have a suprise on my blog for you hopefully by Monday. Don’t forget Sunday’s Survivor either!!!

  7. Deer are so gorgeous aren’t they? I’m glad they come to visit too. I like Sue’s idea of a video, that would be awesome. Hope mom is doing better and better each and every day.Take careHugsSherry

  8. It’s so much fun watching the deer and I’m so glad you mom get to see them from her window. I know what you mean about having the crockpot…don’t know what I’d do without one.
