SHORT AND TALL OF IT…

Standard
I wish I were about 5 inches taller.. oh I would take
even 3 inches if that’s all. I know I am what GOD made
me, but sometimes I get so frustrated. I have to use a
stool for everything it seems these days and I think in
my "old age" I am shrinking. LOL Surprised
I have a stepstool to get into bed, a stool to get into
the cupboards and my arms have shrunk about 2 inches.
YIKES.. could this be true??? HAH HAH No… those shelves
in the grocery store are higher.. I know they are.. some
brilliant builder made then higher so I have to yell for
help now to get the very thing I got years back with no help
at all. Open-mouthed
I went to bed and woke up and no longer could carry what
I used to, and now I need a suitcase for a purse. Wink
I could use another few inches of height and high heels won’t
do.Confused I hate clunking around in them now. Years back I loved
the lift and had many pairs. Now my shoes have the sensible
heels and ease of slipping on and off.  Eeegads where did
the years go?? Confused
Tomorrow is another day and maybe
I will find my lost inches somewhere in this old house among
the collectibles in bag or box. Until then I guess I will just
ask for help and stand on the stupid stool and use a grabber
tool to get things up on the shelf. Eye-rolling Life as a short person
is all I know.. maybe there is a disadvantage to being tall too..who
knows.. I guess I could ask and find out.
SO if you are a TALL person..is there a disadvantage to that too???
Let me know!! Smile

HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

  1. Interesting as I am now 5’8" and used to be 5"9 1/2". I too have to stretch to reach in stores shelves. My tall hubby has problems with chairs and furniture being short seated or too low as his knees are up higher than his butt on a couch and hard to git up! I guess there’s short comings to any height I spose. Oh and hitting the head on doorways!

  2. I’m 6’2" and haven’t had any trouble in this country really but when I travel abroad I find that I have to think about things a lot more or I end up bumping my head a lot!

  3. Me, I’m 5’2" and man, I sure hear ya talkin’. I was about to continue on with the short person thing but it would turn into a blog. Speaking of blogs I thoroughly enjoyed this one. 🙂

  4. I am 5’41/2" and I am way too short. I have to use a stepstool for everything too. My daughter if 5’7" and I always thought that was a good height.

  5. I’m like Rambling. 5’2", eyes of blue, but oh what those 5" can do, lol. I have tried to put things where I could get the easily but there just isn’t enough room for all that I need :-(. Have my stool close at hand too. As my sister Jodi says, "short people hit might low". Needles to say we don’t bug her.

  6. I always thought I was 5’2" but the last two times I was measured I was TALLER by 1/4 inch! Now, I KNOW I didn’t grow, but how could that be??? I feel especially short with Max growing so much. His legs are so long that he has to put the front seat all the way back in my PT Cruiser to be comfortable. It will be a consideration when we get another vehicle for sure. And he’s only 14. I predict he’ll top 6’5" by the time he’s finished growing. I know exactly how it feels to be so short. And when I see family pics of us all, I really look SHORT!

  7. Sorry I can’t give much opinion on this one…I’m kind of average height. Not tall, not short, but I’ve helped more than one person reach something off the top shelf. I also know that I used to be taller than I am now. 😦

  8. I never grew up either, I’m only 5′!" so I feel your pain. My kids would tell you that I never grew up mentally either lol. I can’t afford to shrink much more and hope I don’t.
