MONDAY MADNESS

Standard
Well it isn’t a real mean crazy madness, but a hectic
one. These days someone else is running our lives,
in a way. Someone else is setting our schedule and
keeping us going whether we like it or not. At any time
of the day on Mon. Wed and Friday someone can call
and tell us to leave early. It is like living in and 0n-Call
world. They certainly ask you if you want to go early or
not.. it is up to you.. but they let you know they would
"prefer" that you came in early. So everything you have
planned for your day..cooking, laundry, whatever, it is
completely put on hold and you have to "go with
it". It is okay for younger folks, but at 84 you just really
don’t play by their rules. So we try to adapt our medicine
schedules, our meals and naptimes to be prepared.
It doesn’t always work.

So we are off to the center early today for
treatment the only benefit being that we
get home earlier than usual in the evening, and
for that we are happy! The weather looks wonderful
in the 70’s and maybe when I get home I can still
do some much needed yard work. Keeps one on
their toes for sure.

President Obama will be in Kalamazoo today to speak
at a high school graduation ceremony. It will be the
first time in history that a sitting president has spoken
at a high school event. Hundreds of schools were in
the running. It was broken down to top 3 and Kalamazoo
was chosen. Kalamazoo submitted a video explaining why
they wanted him to speak there. I don’t know about you
but I was nervous at my high school graduation. I was in
choir and we had to perform and get back to our seats
and all be in order. I would hate to be the speakers today
with the President of the USA there. Talk about NERVES!!
Link above tells about his visit.

HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT MONDAY!!!

  1. Hi Sis! Man, what a medication schedule. I have one of those boxes for all of my vitamins. :-)I love how you always find the bright place. I mean that. I can depend on you to do that. A great example of it is your blog today. You two go thru the wringer but you always and ever find a bright spot and concentrate on that.Much love to you both…you are a gem of a woman and daughter. ♥

  2. I remember all too well the many meds my grandparents had to take when we care for them. The schduled appointments etc. were always a real shake up to any given day…I sure hear you about these things. I’m glad you’re having nice weather…ours is blah…neither awful or great. You have a great Monday as well.

  3. Kind of reminds me of the meds I take. lol You do an excellent job as caregiver for your mom. What an exciting thing for the graduating class in Kalamazoo..

  4. I agree with Carole. You go with the flow no matter what and always come out with everything done. I admire your persevering any task that’s thrown your way. I’d rather see the president speak to the people in the gulf but those kids are lucky I guess.

  5. Nice to see you so upbeat in the face of all the turmoil you deal with. What a lucky school. Whether you agree with his politics or not it is a nice honor for the school. It would make me nervouse. The meds pack reminds me of when we had to do that for Dad.

  6. carol dear, you never cease to amaze me with all you have to contend with and you manage to smile and face it as she comes. My hat is off to you. Like Carole, I think you are a gem among women. Sop glad you had a good day. Take care sweety and hugs to you and Mom………….Rusty ((HUGS))

  7. Yes, you do seem to roll with the punches well and still keep a smile and find the positive side of it. Not easy to do for some people.
