Today it doesn’t seem like April or EASTER.. it seems like maybe November and we are getting our first snowfall. We had record-breaking heat last weekend.. nearly 90. It felt wonderful after such a long winter. This past week the crocus and the daffodils popped up and the tree buds began to show their colors. The grass was greening up after so much rain and warmth that spring usually brings to us.

After the snow and it is still falling as I type. Slippery roads and ice pellets are making things pretty interesting around our neighborhood.  Maybe by the weekend all this white will be gone and the green will come back again. I am sure there are some birds and squirrels around who would really appreciate it. The robins are probably pretty confused over it all.

I was a caregiver for the elderly on and off for over 30 years.I am now retired and enjoying a new life. I love blogging and have kept a personal journal for 40 years. I enjoy the freedom of being creative and interacting with the millions of other bloggers in the world.I love learning the new things that the computer world has to offer. I have made friends that will last a lifetime blogging, something I never ever thought would happen. I hope you enjoy my blog, and will continue to visit me in the future.

  1. I’m with the robins—confused. Rain here later today too—we usually see the last of it by May 1st, and then it’s just HOT all summer. Wonder how much more rain we’ll get… Enjoy the rain—there goes all your snow—that is predicted for you later in the week. Hope you don’t get to check out any tornadoes this summer.

  2. It seems that there’s a price to pay whether you get the very hot weather like you’ve had or ours that struggles to break the fifties…we have a winter storm watch through Wednesday which is beyond annoying to me. We’ve had some rotten Easters in the past when it comes to weather but this is pretty bad: 3-6 inches possible? Good Lord!

  3. It seems that after Easter Sunday or on Easter Sunday Spring and Summer come and Holy week brings in the weather. Thats how it is here . I guess I have noticed for years and Im not that old. 🙂 xoxox

  4. You certainly are having a diversity of climes over there, I can see how it would seem like another month and not Easter , I love your before and after pics , wishing you a great happy Easter my friend , keep the pics coming as they show a different world to the one we are used to here in Australia.

  5. Wishing you a happy Easter. And, yes, I saw snow falling this morning here in Ann Arbor.

Speaking of robins, a robin built a nest in the elbow of a downspout on our house. Same place as last year! I knocked down the old nest this winter, hoping the robin wouldn’t come back. I get tired of getting chirped out every time I enter my back yard.

  6. My visit this morning is to bring to you some extra special Easter Greetings along with Best Wishes for a Happy Springtime too!

Let the joy of Easter fill up your heart today and forever. Happy Easter!
….if you do not celebrate, enjoy this weekend just the same.

  7. Yikes! You go to bed in one kind of a world and wake up in another quite different. Here’s hoping that Mother Nature lets up on you good people, I’ll pray for sunny days for you.
