Happy New Year blog readers!! I sit here watching the Rose Parade in Pasadena Ca. and it feels official now. How many years have I watched it I have lost count? I love the details on each float and the admire the hard work that has went into them all. I remember in the past, Mom making black-eyed peas and cornbread and white beans and ham on New years every year. I disliked the peas but would take a spoonful just to please her. It was a tradition from her southern upbringing. It signified good luck. What I remember is we did not have good luck much in the years to come. I stopped eating them when Mom passed, but my sister still does.
I am praying that 2016 brings some peace to our country some how and we can all learn to get along with each other instead of trying to harm each other. I haven’t made any real resolutions for 2016 yet, but to keep things organized and save money and stay on a diet would be three I could try to work on. Have you made any for this year?
Whatever your plans are..hope your 2016 is a great one!!
Thanks for visiting my blog…
